As newbie skiers we could not have gone to a better chalet, amazing food, great location, and Jayne and Sid are wonderful hosts. They were wonderfully helpful, and we had a brilliant week.
This was our second summer visit to Pure Alps and just as lovely as the first last year. Owners Jayne and Sid are excellent hosts, and very knowledgeable about the local area, suggesting some great outings. These included a walk around a mountain lake (there was lake swimming but sadly we forgot our costumes!), and a rack and pin rail trip to view a glacier and ice cave in nearby Chamonix (although beware the 470+ steps to get to it!) The Wednesday morning market in nearby Samoens is well worth a visit to stock up on the local cheese and sausage, followed by a cheeky beer in the pretty square.
As before the quality of the accommodation is excellent, we had a large, comfortable room with a stunning view of the Alps. The one rainy day was spent playing board games on the covered terrace, again, to a stunning backdrop.
We shall certainly be returning!
Just returned from an fantastic break with the family in this amazing chalet. The location is close to Samoëns (8 mins in the car) but remote enough to have complete peace and quiet with impressive views of the mountains and valley. PureAlps has the most attentive hosts who made us very welcome, and a selection of great 'house' wines on hand at very reasonable prices. The chalet itself is very comfortable and clean with large double bedrooms, exceptionally comfortable beds and en-suite bathrooms. We don't ski, but the area is surrounded by lovely mountains, waterfalls, walks and great places to eat - followed by a lounge in the hot tub for tired legs if you fancy it. Would definitely return and already planning our next visit!
The modern and newly built chalet is located between Samoens and Vercland, on a country lane. It is very convenient for the slopes and Jayne provides daily transfers to the ski lifts at flexible times to suit the guests. The dinners were very tasty and the cuisine varied and, - seemingly! - unlimited, quality bottled Italian wines were served. The house is open and airy and there is underfloor heating throughout. In the spacious lounge there is a log burner and comfy sofas and chairs. The outdoor hot tub was amazing and it was great to sit there sipping a glass of bubbly! Jayne and Sid were very friendly and charming hosts.
Jayne and Sid (and Jordan and Julian) are the most welcoming and accommodating of hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them. They were particularly flexible about drop off and pick up times and places particularly after the days skiing which was so helpful, no waiting for the ski bus. The Chalet is bright, light and exceptionally clean and comfortable with lovely beds and sofas. Jayne's food was really good, well thought out menu's and delicious, she also catered for a mix of vegetarians, gluten intolerance and meat eaters without any problems at all. If we return to this area we would not hesitate to stay at Chalet Nordchamp again a great holiday.
Jayne was a wonderful host. Quick at responding to queries and helpful with solutions, a group of 10 of us (8 adults, 2 babies) stayed for a long weekend.
The chalet is stunning. Each room with its own en suite.
Food was generous. We had a light dinner given the late arrival (1am in the morning on the first day) and a cheese night (Raclette and Fondue) on the second.
While the chalet is a way away from the ski lifts, Jayne provides a lift to and from the lifts which addresses this distance.
Would highly recommend!!!
Weekend skiing for 5 ladies and Jayne and Syd looked after us very well.
Beautiful new spacious chalet, homely food, loved the hot tub and sauna, lovely views and position with wood behind. A lot of thought has gone into every aspect of the chalet and service, all bases covered.
Driven back and forth , wherever we fancied, lifts and into town.
Thank you Jayne and Syd, good luck with your new venture , you ll do well.
