“Great chalet, friendly atmosphere, amazing food, very family friendly”
Reviewed 9 March 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Tony and Clare made our first family ski holiday at chalet st loup one to remember

After bombing down the slopes (or snow ploughing your three year old down the green run) nothing beats sipping a beer or a crisp white; under the stars, in the hot tub whilst the kids are fast asleep and looking down on the valley; knowing there's a fantastic meal waiting for you!

Thanks again from the hustons and booths

“Quite possibly the greatest place in the Alps”
Reviewed 5 February 2013 for a stay in February 2013

Absolutely incredible. Amazing food, VERY comfortable, perfect size (large but cozy - how do they do it?!), amazing location and incredibly friendly.
We couldn't fault this chalet at all.
I don't like going to the same places twice but I will DEFINITELY be coming back to Chalet Saint Loup.
Don't bother with anything else, you've found the best place in the Alps. Just hope and pray that they have you dates available. If they don't - change your dates.

“An amazing place to stay”
Reviewed 6 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

This is our second time staying in this Chalet and yet again we were not disappointed. Tony and Clare provide an excellent service to their guests. The Chalet is very clean with comfortable beds and plenty of areas to sit in either privately or as a large group. The food is delicious and all home cooked and any requirements are catered for at all times. Arriving from a day on the slopes your are welcomed with freshly made cakes, then drinks and canapes are provided before a beautiful four course meal.

The Chalet is situated in a lovely area overlooking amazing scenery. Tony transported us to and from the lifts everyday at a time that would suit our party. On the chefs night off they booked a restaurant and transported us all to the village. Nothing is too much trouble and the friendly family atmosphere is why we have returned and will be doing so again at the end of the year.

In addition there is also a sauna and hot tub to relax and enjoy the views.

Tony and Clare run an excellent Chalet and are great hosts, we look forward to seeing them again soon.

“If this is chalet living, I'll be back again and again! 1st class!”
Reviewed 4 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

Clare & Tony are the most fantastic, friendly and approachable hosts offering a warm welcome with a daily supply of the most amazing cakes & food. After a day on the slopes, the hot tub, looking out onto the mountains and the sauna allow you to ease off the weary muscles.

Their approachable, friendly manner made us feel like part of the family & not like guests... we would greatly thank them for the taxi-ing us to and from the slopes too.

The accommodation is traditionally french & chalet style with the beautiful wooden beams, wood flooring & cosy fires but with all the mod cons - bath & shower in the rooms with a good supply of towels & bath robes.

Cannot wait to return again, this is a holiday with excellent value for money with close proximity to the slopes.

Thank you both so much!

“"a fantastic skiing holiday"”
Reviewed 3 July 2012 for a stay in April 2012

I have written this review to let others know about the great time the three of us had at Chalet St Loup.

We received a terrific welcome from our hosts despite our late arrival because of a delayed flight. We found Tony and Claire, who are the owners of the chalet, to be the most excellent hosts.

Claire is an exceptionally talented cook who prepared fantastic meals based around the local cuisine. The good local wine we were served at dinner was always free flowing.
At the end of a days skiing we were presented with a generous selection of home made cakes and a hot pot of tea while every morning our immaculately presented bedroom rooms were expertly cleaned.

Despite skiing late into the season there was no shortage of snow. Tony provided guidance on where to find the best skiing in the Gran Massif area as well as finding time to come skiing with us on several occasion which provided some excellent off piste skiing. The Grand Masif area is vast and interlinked with other nearby resort towns. There was no shortage of runs or variety. As far as lift queues were concerned, there weren’t any.

On the day we didn’t ski, we went out walking along the marked trails that begin just behind the chalet and meander past hunting lodges beyond to high meadows. The chalet has fantastic views over the valley below with the view being crowned by Mont Blanc.
A short drive from the chalet is the pretty village of Samoens. The village is family friendly with plenty of shops selling cakes and local produce as well cafes and bars.

Chalet St Loup is large and well equipped with a sauna and secluded hot tub. There is also a broad band connection and plenty of parking too.

If you want a fantastic skiing holiday then take my advice and stay at Chalet St Loup.
