The chalet is superbly equipped and ideal for a large family. It has all the facilities you would expect of a chalet of this quality. Sitting in a hot tub, enjoying the mountain views was unforgettable.
The bedrooms are all superbly fitted out, some with corner spa baths - and two of them with balconies overlooking the neighbouring meadow.
The swimming pool is not large, but big enough to have a decent splash around with the kids. If you want to do lengths, you would struggle.
The chalet is located just outside Samoens which means you will need a car to access any of the local amenities,
There are two small details that prevent me giving it 5 stars.
1. Although it advertised the fact that English was spoken, we found that communicating in very good French was more effective at getting the response you needed - in other words, if you speak no French at all, it may challenging communicating with the agent who will arrive to show you round the property and understanding the instructions relating to the hot tub, pool, etc. This was not a problem for us as we had two french speakers in our party.
2. The Chalet is situated right next door to a neighbouring property, which is fine most of the time, until the occupants decide to throw a late night pool party with loud music. Not ideal if you're looking for peace and quiet. This is completely outside the control of the property owner, but if you';re looking for peace an seclusion, you'll need to be aware of this.
Would we go back? Yes, without a doubt (when we win the lottery!)
