Had a fantastic week in Tignes with Alpine Elements with a friend and my son. The chalet staff were excellent with the whole chalet being kept very clean at all times. The food was amazing and far exceeded our expectations! A food allergy in our party was catered for brilliantly (too well if I'm honest...made him feel too special!). Pre-trip concerns we had about the triple room 17 were soon forgotten as the room, although compact, was perfectly adequate for three 6' plus adults with plenty of storage space and ensuite with great shower. The chalet is in a superb location with easy walking access to the lake, ski/mountain bike lifts and all activities. I cannot fault the service from Alpine Elements from the unexpected pre-trip phone call to the final transfer back to the airport. All went smoothly and without a hitch. Emma and Bex from Alpine Elements were superb and helped arranging lift passes and other bookings as well as arranging a very enjoyable bowling night, quiz night and we even enjoyed a couple of 'chalet' beach volley ball games. The only negative I can find is the lack of Wifi in the Chalet although this wasn't a real problem and a 2 minute walk to a local bar in the evening that did have Wifi resolved this! If you are going specifically for the mountain biking I would definitely recommend upgrading to a full suspension bike as the trails are VERY demanding and quite technical. The Specialized Hardtails we were given (expertly maintained by Tom!) were almost new and just about adequate but we often felt we were pretty much on the limit! Overall though, a fantastic trip. Well done Alpine Elements and we hope to return again soon!

Just back from a week at this Chalet going with Alpine Elements. Have to say it was a brilliant week and the staff and food was excellent. The chalet is in an excellent position a few mins walk from were all the action was. Theres a bus which takes you to the funicluar which takes you up on the glacier if you want to ski, walk or just have a look around.
With our booking we had the use of moutain bikes for the week and had a go at downhill mountain biking. Be careful if you have not done this before as its pretty difficult and there are a lot of people that go very fast around you. Advice - book a lesson..
Tignes is a fab place for a summer vacation - the activities pass was great and you could sail, tennis, volleyball, swim, shoot, archery - to name but a few activities. Loads to do for kids and adults - or you could just chill by the lake and watch others.

Highly recommended for a active week in the apls. Many thanks to the Apline elements team at Chalet Rosset for a brilliant week.

Room Tip: ask for a room on the top level overlooking the lake

As winter skiers we thought we'd have a change ! Alpine Elements have taken over the running of the Chalet Rosset for the summer season. As a base for all the activities that go on in Tignes it couldn't be bettered, walking distance to the lakeside and about 100 yards from the 'free' bus which takes you round to La Claret for the funicular up to the glacier. The chalet itself was excellent. Rooms spotless and well maintained. The Chef was superb and the cakes at 4.30 delicious ! The staff were brilliant. They worked as a team and were friendly, conscientious, and very efficient. Needless to say the surrounding scenery was magnificent and quite a novelty not too have to walk up to get to the top and the views !!!!
Great trip and thoroughly recommended

Room Tip: Lower rooms away from the lounge which has amazing views but where people can collect in the evening...

I can't say enough how fantastic our stay at Chalet Rosset was. As a family of 3, our stay in room 17, on the top floor, was ideal. With the lounge on the same floor, it provided a perfect place for the kids and adults to relax after a days skiing.
Being a catered chalet, we were given breakfast afternoon tea and dinner (and canapes on the first and last days before dinner). I can only describe the food as excellent. The chef prepared all the meals to a high standard from fresh ingredients.
The service from all the staff was brilliant. They really took care of us, particularly helping arrange an early dinner for the children, so that the adults could eat in peace !
We all thought this was one of the best holidays ever ! Well done Ski Olympic.

The chalet is really well located 2-3 mins walk to town and very close to the slopes. The rooms are basic but acceptable but very small. We had the triple room but we are so glad it was just two of us- the room would have been a nightmare for three grown men. The shower was very good- powerful and nice and hot. The lounge is a lovely room (it's the one they put a photo of on their website!!) but why on earth doesn't wi-fi extend to this room or the bedrooms? The dining area and reception area are very uninviting and serious capital should be spent here. Food was plentiful at night and breakfast was average- always a hot breakfast if you want it but not very exciting. The staff were polite and helpful and Nick the chalet manager went out of his way for you. All in all this is an acceptable chalet but it lacks homeliness and really needs investment. It was overpriced for what it is, so felt like bad value for money

Stayed at the Chalet Rosset for a week in Mid April, which due to the late Easter was fully booked.

There were quite a few young children staying, but the chalet staff arranged an earlier dinner sitting so we hardly saw (or heard) the youngsters, leaving our dinner to be a more adult affair. Food was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes being served up (including substitutions for various veggies, allergies and general fussiness). All the chalet staff were friendly and helpful, and surprisingly for a chalet didn't look like they had rolled in 30 minutes before breakfast!

Great location close to bars, lifts and ski school (you could ski to about 50 meters away) which is always a bonus.

+ location, food, plenty of hot water

- Lack of Wifi / tv in lounge (I know, you're meant to be on holiday!!)

My wife two sons (19 & 23), their girlfriends and I stayed here for a week in early April 2011. All the youngsters have food issues (Dairy allergy, wheat allergy and just plain awkward!) As it happened other guest had similar requests

The Chef, assistant chef, Chalet Manager and two chalet girls were fantastic - they could not have been more helpful, tolerant and accommodating. The chalet is about a 50 - 75 metre walk from the piste so starting and finishing skiing each day did not invole long treks altohugh it is up a slight hill. The menu was put up weach morning and if you were not able to eat any of the courses the staff were most accommodating. At afternoon tea from the second day onwards dairy and gluten free cakes were provided.

Two observations 1. We found the rooms very hot at night and had to sleep with the window propped well open, it was a very hot week (25 degrees for 4 days) and this may not be an issue at other times. 2. there is a lounge on the top floor of the chalet which does not appear to get used much which is a shame.

One of the ski guides was very good, the other was a plonker - needs to learn some customer relation skills, particularly small talk that is not about himself and all the things he has done, which on closer examination were something of an exaggeration. He was 'on loan' from another resort - we will be avoiding that one next year!

Room Tip: Ski Palafour in the am, Paquis pm, glacier both
