We made our second visit to Tignes in February this year and we chose it again because the ski area is big with plenty of off piste and challenging runs and the snow is pretty much assured due to the altitude. We decided to go to Hotel Village Monatana because rather than be based in a couple of very small hotel rooms we wanted a family apartment with good facilities. This hotel has a few restaurants, a pool, spa and great bar with snooker tables. It is also very centrally located on a run into the centre of the resort.
Our young teens enjoyed using the spa and outdoor heated pool at the end of the day where they met other kids their age. The apartments are not huge but have all you need especially if you are on the slopes for most of the day. There is parking beneath the hotel and shops for food nearby.
We would return to this hotel.
