a great stay

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 3 May 2024
The room lived up to the photos, large enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. The hotel had a great 'log cabin' theme with lots of wood and a real fire in the lounge. Ive stayed in a few 4 stars and this is one of the best. The restaurant was great and staff very helpful. Especially George who made it extra special for us.

Nous avons passé la dernière semaine de Février Tignes;
Très beau temps et appartement confortable;

Hotel in the heart of the snowy mountains, with the most beautiful views.
You can literally walk out of the hotel onto the slope.
5 course dinners served at night, with excellent service.
A long transfer from the airport (3 hours) but beautiful views along the way.
Heated out door pool with views over the mountain.
I was a non skier travelling with a skier and given the time of year, there wasn’t much to do, especially as the weather was too windy to go up on any lifts. But I did catch one of the free buses to go up the funicular and walk across the frozen lake nearby.
It was too warm for the winter activities such as dog sledging and ice swimming, and not warm enough for the summer activities.
A handy convenience store was 2 mins walk away.
Free croissants available all day.
Overall an excellent stay. The views made it. The staff were friendly and we ate enough cheese to last a year!

Room tip: The price of a full day ski pass is only about €6 more than a half day pass.

Room was a plus; cosy with lots of storage space and a comfortable bed, nice mountain view. The ski-in ski-out was also really good. The food (breakfast and dinner) was a disappointment; not tasty, bland, not creative, often not at right temperature (too cold) and no variety in breakfast offerings, overall quality of food was rather low. The welness area was small with a dirty jacuzzi and a cold outside pool. The service in the main restaurant was sometimes really poor. Overall unfortunately not a 4 star experience.

Very well located, fantastic access to ski lifts, great SPA with 3 well heated saunas, nice rooms but average breakfasts (low variety of warm dishes, no eggs a la carte etc.)

We're delighted to hear that you found our hotel to be very well located with fantastic access to ski lifts, and that you enjoyed our SPA facilities, including the well-heated saunas. Your feedback regarding our rooms is appreciated, and we're glad you found them nice. However, we're sorry to hear that you found our breakfasts to be average. However, it's important to explain that we do offer scrambled eggs, fried eggs, grilled bacon, seasoned potatoes, and marinated beans, which already constitutes a very nice selection of hot savory dishes., Thank you again for sharing your experience with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better stay in the future.

A last minute booking to Tignes, and wanting a hotel close to the slopes and with a pool this was perfect.
Parking at the hotel was €20 per night.
The rooms are abit of a maze to find, especially if you’re in B block. You need to switch floors and elevators! First day we were struggling to get to the right part of the hotel.
Rooms were really spacious, great view of the mountain. Plenty of storage space.
Breakfast was good. Didn’t have to queue or wait, food was plentiful and overall a very good selection. Staff all very nice and friendly. I
Only small annoyance that for 3 days the table outside our room seemed to be a dumping ground for other guests plates, glasses and left over food. For a 4* hotel, this should have been cleared immediately. Don’t expect to keep returning every afternoon to see more and more crockery dumped.
