“Beyond expectations and exceptional staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 April 2014

Stayed in Chalet Hattiers with a small group the first week of March 2014 for 8 days skiing in Tignes and initially expected the usual Chalet accomodation which is usually a small average room, average same old food menu and ending up basically just a place to sleep.

I must say that qualty of the staff, rooms and the food far exceeded expectations and what a fantastic place to stay. took the family room which was a decent size, exceptionaly clean and unlike other chalets I have stayed in had an endless supply of hot water whenever you wanted a shower in the newly refitted bathroom so no need for the usual rush back to get a hot shower and therefore more time on the slopes (although sometimes missed out on Chris' great cakes!)

Chris the Chef was excellent and not only was the food by far the best i have had in any Chalet (and always plenty of it) he and Kit were always laughing and joking and making everyone feel at home.

Les Brevieres is a great place to stay although some may think a little too far away from the main area and busy nightlife and restuarants. Howvever, if you are looking for a great place to base yourself in a quieter setting where there are local restuarants and bars that stay open until late if you want a little nightlife and the advantage of more reasonable prices than in the other resort areas Les Brevieres offers a fantastic setting for families, groups, couples or singles who are all well catered for.Dont be put off by thinking that it is maybe that bit too far from the Espace Killy centre as closer than you think. Great advantage is being able to get fresh tracks and first run down the Sache in the morning and some great runs for skiers of all abilities back into Les Brevieres to finish the day

Thanks again to Chris, Kit and Sarah who looked after everyone and I would not hesitate to go back or recommend this chalet to anyone. .

I can't do it justice how good our stay was. We were in the ground floor twin room. Really clean, comfy beds, nice shower...a must after long day on the slopes.
The staff were lovely, so friendly thanks Chris (pappi), Kit and Sarah for making our stay so relaxed like home from home.
The food was fantastic just what we needed. We couldn't stay the whole week due to work but we didn't want to leave, could easily have stayed 2 weeks!
I'm booking next season with the kids and can't wait!
See you all then

Just home from a week at Hattiers and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The room was great, the chalet always clean and tidy and the food delicious and plentiful. I was worried Les Brevieres might be a bit of a pain in terms of getting into the main ski action in Espace Killy but it really isn't. Thanks for a brilliant holiday.

Hattiers is the best ski chalet I have stayed at. The food is absolutely amazing thanks to Chris, the rooms are tidy when you arrive thanks to Kit and Sarah. All the staff made me feel safe and welcome. There is a miles and miles of area to ski. Best holiday ever.

It's often said that people make a place, but when thinking about a ski chalet evidently location is important too. So, location details first: 3 minutes walk to the Sache gondola, 1 minute to the nearest ATM, 3 minutes to the Sherpa supermarket and 2 minutes to nearest bars and restaurants (not that you'll need the latter except on Wednesday, which is the staff's night off). The chalet is well appointed: the rooms are clean, modern and all have mountain views, the boot room allows kit to dry overnight and the lounge area is homely. Sleep quality, which is of huge personal importance, was very good. WiFi is provided free of charge and reaches most ground, 1st and 2nd floor rooms.

So, on to the people. It's been a long time since I've been made feel so at home so fast - the team of Chris, Kit and Sarah is one of the best I've seen in years and it is this that really made my stay. Chris is a chef par excellence producing five star catering to seemingly any dietary constraint. Kit and Sarah were superb, professional, hosts who really cared about how they looked after people (unlike a lot I can think of, where the facade of a smile has roughly as much depth as a dried-out river bed). The team of the three of them together was epic - the inclusiveness, repartee, humour and warmth was amazing and it is this factor alone that makes Hattiers stand head and shoulders above any other ski chalet I've stayed in.

I sincerely hope that the chalet management consider investing as much in this chalet team as they have in the building fabric of the chalet. Well appointed chalets are the expected minimum today and generally the memory of one is very much like another. Thinking about the past ten days, however, the adage of people making a place has never been truer. Thank you Chris, Kit and Sarah for bringing Hattiers alive. If you're still there next year, I'll definitely be back.

I've just come back from one of the best ski holidays I've had and Chalet Harriers was a major factor, although the village doesn't have loads of ski lifts like Le Lac and Val Claret it was surprisingly accessible. We stayed in the large apartment and it was worth every penny, its just been refurbished and is everything you'd expect from a alpine chalet, the staff are amazing and such fun, the food is amazing and so much of it! I really can't recommend Hattiers enough and would go back in a heart beat!! So in summary, clean, furnished lovely, amazing food, super friendly staff, and accessible to everything you'd want :o)

Our stay at Hattiers Apartments was amazing. We were a group of eight and stayed in the top floor apartment, the view from which, was breathtaking. The staff who run Chalet Chardons were great and Chris, Sarah and Kit who worked in the chalet really made our stay. They went out of their way to give us an amazing holiday. We are all several pounds heavier from Chris' gigantic, superb, meals and too many vin chaud - exactly what you want after a day on the slopes.
The area itself is well connected and also has a nice intimate feel. By the end of the holiday we felt like locals at our local pub!

I would recommend Hattiers in a heartbeat to anyone who might be looking to book a ski trip in Tignes.
