We stayed at Chalet Belvedere from 29th March to 5th April as a group of 12 (4 couples, 4 single guys). We had a great stay, our hosts Ben and Becks were amazing, as were the other Chalet Chardon's staff who helped us during our stay. The food was fantastic, the location was great and it was nice to each have your own ensuite bathroom. I would definitely recommend Chalet Belvedere for group snowboarding trips!

Room Tip: The top room was the biggest but did have a sloped room so not so good if you're really tall!

We stayed in the belvedere where Dan and Katie where our hosts. The food was amazing, Katie kindly made a birthday cake for my missus too :) I injured my knee on the Tuesday and Katie couldn't do enough to help me leaving me and the missus to drink the free wine. Next time I'm in tinges I would definitely stay here again.

We have just returned from a brilliant week in Tignes les Breviere staying in Chalet Belvedere. Our chalet hosts were Ben and Bex and they could not have been nicer. The food was excellent - Ben seemed to have a secret list of all my favourite dishes as every evening yet another fave food would arrive at the supper table. His Cheesecake was to die for and the Duck comfit was excellent. Both Bex and Ben helped to make our stay comfortable and fun. By the end of the week they and the 2 extra guests that were not part of our original party of 10 had become part of our holiday and we all skiied and partied together. We could not have had better hosts as nothing was too much trouble for them. The chalet itself was lovely and it was a bonus that all of the rooms had it's own bathroom with a bath for long hot soaking after a day of sking. The only slight quibble was the ammount of sofa and lounging space which was a bit on the tight side as the long dining table took up most of the floor area. Most of the rooms had balconys and the view was fantastic. Staying in les Brevieres had its advantages in terms of quietness and an attractive location but guests need to be clear about how to best return at the end of the ski day. If you travel back before 4.30 you can get the Chaudannes lift out of Les lac and ski the blue home. However this run can be icy and narrow. It is also possible before 4.30 to return on the Sache bubble lift and this takes you right down into the village. If you return after 4.30 you get the free bus from Le Lac and get off at Les Boisse then ski down a short blue road run to get back to the village. This option means that you can ski until quite late if that is what you like to do. The little lift at the end of the road that Chalet Belvedere is located on runs until 6.30pm so you never have to carry your skis up the road to get home from the village. This was very welcome after a warm wine in the village bar before ending the ski day. We had some good evenings in the Vault bar. It is very studenty but since our party consisted of a variety of 16 year olds , twenty year olds ,and a scattering of over 50's this was perfect as it provided fun for the young and the illusion of being young again for the more senior members of the holiday. It is essential on your visit to go to the top of the Grande Motte glacier and ski down if poss. Choose a crystal clear day. We had excellent instruction from ESF ski school who are based in Le Lac. We covered all levels as we had beginners and Intermediates in our party. The only bad moment of our holiday was the transfer. Our driver was an hour late picking us up from Les Brevieres and we only just made the flight in Lyon. this company are called Snow Bus.co.uk and I would not feel comfortable travelling with them again. However I think the management of Chalet Chardons should give Bex and Ben a bonus as they went well beyond what was expected of chalet hosts in order to make our stay so much fun. Best of luck with your future plans guys!

We stayed here earlier in the year, and found the place charming, the chalet and chalet experience is not 5* but it is 5* for the price we paid. We arrived at chaletchardons, as this is were you 'check in' and were certainly glad we were not staying there - a helpful chap offered to transfer us and the baggage in the van (think he was the local handy man) up to the chalet as it was prob 10 min walk up the hill.
The chalet is comfortable , with good sized rooms, a wardrobe, a lovely clean and tidy bathroom. The host and chef (Dan and Ally) were brilliant , fantastic food, and the wine kept flowing! a nice breakfast and a fresh cake each day - oh and bread and jam when we returned. The chalet chardons was an excelent company to deal with , and if you fancy somewhere a little bit more relaxed than being in the main resort in Tignes then this is the place for you !

The resort it self is 'charming' with a nice main street, a few restaurants, and also two pubs, an irish bar and the 'underground' which is the bar associated with chardons. We were quite happy here and will certainly return ,

This chalet had the use of the swimming pool , and hot tub complex - personally i would not bother taking the walk up the hill , the pool was tiny and the outdoor hot tub was cold every time we went..just enjoy yourself by taking a walk down the hill and sitting in a bar if you need to relax !

The only think i would say is that they advertise as having wifi - but there isnt any... it did work ok though when we visited Chardons, The lack of wifi would not have put me off staying here - but feel they should not advertise one thing if its not provided so they lose a star there,

The only thing that i would like to suggest is to provide some area to 'dry' items. The storage area in the garage was very cold , with no chance to dry boots or clothing, so would have been nice to have somewhere heated to do this , but this is about the only improvement i could suggest.

All the staff were friendly , and they offered to store stuff both on our arrival day and departure day, lift passes were also sorted out with a discount and ready to collect first thing on day one

A great holiday and we will see you next year !

Room Tip: The lower rooms were a little colder so i was told, as this is nearer the ground floor, also nearer...

We were slightly concerned when we booked as Chardons is best known for its budget accommodation and the deal we were offered seemed too good to offer the quality advertised.

We could not have been more wrong – Cal & Anna looked after us superbly, with warm hospitality, great food and wine, and a very well run chalet. The chalet had comfortable beds, full size baths, plenty of hot water, and was very close to the passenger lift that takes you down into Les Brevieres.

We’d like to see the boot room upgraded to include driers, although it was warm enough that our boots did dry out overnight without.

Our only reservation about returning to a Chardons chalet would be the lack of the sort of children’s meal/bedtime policy that has existed in every other chalet we’ve stayed in . We've talked to Chardons about this, and they will be looking into whether they want to introduce something similar.

The belvedere chalet is very clean, homely and finished to a very high standard and the open fire is a must of course! Our hosts were great and they couldn't do enough for us. This is the best food we have ever been served on a chalet holiday, and the wine was great too, The views from the chalet were excellent as being on a hill opposite the slopes. This meant a little walk to the village but it only took a couple of minutes. We were made to feel very welcome by all of the chalet Chardons group and will definitely be returning next year. Thanks for great holiday :-)
