The review is actually for the Annapurna 1, where I stayed at Easter 2014. Same building, same decor, same facilities, same catering. Booked through www.ifyouski.com, the chalet is run by Skiworld in resort, whose service was very good.

The chalet is spacious and comfortable. Rooms are an excellent size, with good bathrooms and seperate toilets. If anything, the chalet is just a bit spartan, no luxury touches to it but nothing that I would list as a fault. The sauna and hot-tub suffer from the same syndrome that befalls so many chalets in that the owner has clearly put them in to appeal to people who will only consider chalets that have such facilities. In reality the sauna is a tiny box that could seat 1 comfortably or 2 at a squeeze. The hot-tub is essentially an oversize bath and is indoors, which for me defeats the object.

Skiworld catering very good as usual. Location wise it's great, would normally be ski to door although we were so late in the season that it wasn't quite possible for us. Just a 50 metre walk to the piste in the mornings.

Very happy with ifyouski and Skiworld and would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I stayed in the room on the same floor as the lounge and kitchen. Fine if you're an early riser...

Great food, very clean chalet, spacious rooms. Close to the piste, though not quite ski in ski out. The chalets hosts: Heather, John and Cicely really worked hard and as a team, and one could tell they got on well together and were enjoying themselves. Some really excellent meals, thanks!

Room Tip: Avoid room one on the ground floor

Staying at the Annapurna 2 was a last minute decision as the season was so long this year. The chalet is let by Ski World. I've been with this tour operator before so knew it would be good.

The chalet is one of their 'superior' chalets and it lives up to that label. It is spacious and well appointed. The rooms (except room 1) are all spacious. All twin beds though. (no doubles) It has a heated ski kit room, sauna and hot tub.

The communal area, dining room etc is on the 3rd floor. It has a lift so if you're too tired to walk up the stairs after a hard days skiing or boarding then its no problem. The views from the 3rd floor are stunning.

Location of the chalet is perfect. If there is plenty of snow then I guess you could call it ski in ski out. But realistically there is a 25 metre walk to the rear of the chalet to get to the piste. Its about a 400 metre walk to the town and the lifts.

Ski World do a good job at looking after you so the hospitality side of things is taken care of. I think with any operator its down to the quality of the chalet hosts. Ours always seem to be excellent with Ski World. So you've no need to worry.

An excellent week. I would return. One of our chalet guests was back for the 3rd time this season. That speaks for itself.

Room Tip: The cheapest room is rm 1 which is by the entrance door. If you cant get any other room I wouldn...

Accommodating 18–20 guests this quality, quiet, ideally located Ski in/out (on a red run) chalet is hosted by an enthusiastic and welcoming team of three, Chris, Emma and Alex, supported by the equally enthusiastic Ski World Representative, Graham, a few minutes walk from the bars and restaurants and ski hire.

Accommodation:

Communal area
The lounge is very light and bright with sufficient seating for everyone. Nice views over Tignes, TV and music system, communal dining, honesty bar and unlimited tea/coffee.

Bedrooms
Clean, comfortable and functional. No frills (No TV which is a positive because you then mix with other guests). Ideal for two people, a little small for three adults. Some rooms have shower cubicles. Could do with a hairdryer in each room and need to bring your own shampoo etc.

Food
Good breakfast (from 8am) with option of cooked or continental, fantastic afternoon cake (at 4.30pm) and reception drink and nibbles pre dinner (7pm) then a very good 3 course evening meal followed by a cheese board, with unlimited basic, but not bad, wine each evening. (Wednesday is staff day off)

Other facilities
Good drying facilities with heated racks for boots
Hot tub (very welcome, very hot and holds 6-8 adults) and a sauna.

We had 19 adults in the Chalet, including a group of 10 mainly medical professionals! Thankfully everyone mixed and got on well and the main group included everyone in some entertainment/games in the evening, mainly involving alcohol…. Great fun!

This was our first experience of a Chalet ski holiday and has left an excellent impression, especially they Ski World Team who were excellent hosts, helpful and joined in the fun! Also the other guests who were great company…Thanks!

Room Tip: Avoid room 1, too close to the entrance. Take a hairdryer

We are a couple in our 50s who have been on many chalet holidays. I endorse the comments of AndySianKateLucy. We were there in early March 2013. Our room was very pleasant with a nice view (which was very handy as I was ill for a good part of the week!). It was clean and comfortable and definitely a step up from many other chalets. The lounge is very light and bright with sufficient seating for everyone. The hot tub & sauna in the basement were much appreciated and worked fine all week (which is more than can be said for some other chalets). Cakes and afternoon tea were tasty and well-presented. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and I am told the food was very good. The chalet is located a short walk into the village, but with a couple of lifts nearby and you can ski in. All in all, we would be very happy to recommend this chalet.

Chris Emma and Alex looked after us brilliantly in this 17 person chalet. Our 3rd Tignes holiday and best by far. Top quality Chalet, ski in/out, hot tub and sauna, gorgeous afternoon cake and reception drink and nibbles then 3 course evening meal with basic wine each evening. 5 mins walk to lots of bars. Inter sports ski hire shop 2 mins away. Will definitely book this chalet next time

Room Tip: Avoid room 1 as by front door and buzzer can annoy in early hours
