Great place to relax after skiing, snowboarding or other outdoor activities. Friendly bar staff, two happy hours per day (from 16 to 18 and from 21 to 22), good Dj's and live music. Sometimes thats all you need.

In The Snowcafe you won't find much snow or coffee but plenty of good music, mood and drinks. They have 2 happy hours per Day (4-5 pm & 8-9) when you can get a pint for 4 EUR, which is a good price for the mountainside. From live music to body shots will you find everything you would expect in an Apres Ski Bar!

I went to Val Thorens (VT) with two colleagues from work (Jenny and Helen) for a weeks skiing. We would come off the slopes about 1600 most days, tea and cake in the chalet and then out on the town...........
The chalet rep suggested a few drinking holes where we could visit and drink ... we did go to them but couldn't get into them as they were so popular. VT is a busy resort for the young, many of whom are there on a budget ( so they can spend more on alcohol) They were often seen leaving the VT supermarkets laden with microwavable pizzas and boxes of beer.....
By this time all three of us were thirsty... then we came across the Snowcafe... Live music was playing, a regular event (lass with a guitar singing songs from most eras..) The beers on tap are the predictable lagers - not keen, real beer would have been great but no.... shame. Not a problem we were there for cocktails. The Snowcafe has a dedicated bar for cocktails and very helpful barstaff. We visited the Sbowcafe 3 nights tried Margaritas, White Russians, Kentucky Maid, Vanilla Collins, all very reasonably priced. Good nights were had by all
