Never having been to Val Thorens before, we didn't know much about the choices. We spent an hour dropping in on three restaurants before selecting this one for lunch. Since we had to return to Courchevel, we wanted to make it fairly quick and requested whether this would be possible.
After getting a positive confirmation, we ordered soup and Caesar salads, which were promised to be quickly prepared. They were...and the restaurant was a great choice. Everything, including the provided bread, was excellent French quality, served efficiently.
The only problem we encountered was that you are not allowed to wear ski boots into the restaurant. You must remove them at the door and use the provided slippers. Unfortunately they were also serving outdoors and were leaving the door open to the foyer area where we had to leave our boots. Even with the provided boot warmers, our boots were freezing cold when we went to put them back on, to the point we almost couldn't get them on. There is another foyer into the hotel area that is warmer...we recommend you use that one!
