Just back from a really good week in this resort staff excellant, skiing very good. We had excellant ski instructor Gillas took care of all in group. Only downfall was possibly lack of spa as steam room hottub or sauna would havew been most welcome after day on slopes.

Room Tip: Think most ofd rooms same could be a bit more spacious

The best, excellent location , brilliant ski instructors which hosted amazing ski schools all week , really challenges you . the good , food but breakfasts are always the same . The bad , the French GO's don't really try to hard to get to know non French people . Also , very often they glasses and dishes are not cleaned properly . But overall great experience .

The great
- Skiing; the more advanced you are the better; the area is immense, and off-piste opportunities are endless - but you need an excellent guide to get there, and come back in one piece; Bubu was top-notch, tough like a drill sergeant, and funny like a great comedian; try to get to his group if you can; BUT these people don't work for Club Med, they're with ESF, often considered the best ski school in the world; cutting the lift line when you're with the guide - priceless, probably 1 extra hour of skiing per day right there.
The good
- Food and drinks; endless, and mostly very tasty, with some exceptions: don't expect American (or Argentinian) quality beef, even Beef Wellington was tough and chewy. The table wine could be upgraded a bit too. Try rose, probably the best.
The bad:
- Cold water in the room on 3 our of 7 mornings;
- Completely unreliable Internet, even though Club Med charges for it,
- Unfriendly and uncaring reception desk
- Unless you are a couple, the room is just too small for 2
- Cigarette smoke is everywhere, despite the official 'no smoking' policy
To summarize:
It's a very good value, especially when they run s special; I would come back for skiing, it's probably the greatest of 60+ resorts I've skied in my life; don't go there if you're easily annoyed at inconveniences; Their transportation options from the US are vastly overprices, if there's at least 2 of you, flying on your own, and renting a car at the Geneva airport is much better

Room Tip: Try to get a single room if you can; these are fish cans, not rooms

Just retuned from a week here. First Club Med holiday for about 15 years as we found Mark Warner better for non French speaking children.

Club Med VT is an Adults Only (18+) resort with an All-Day-Party atmosphere.

Food and drink in unlimited supplies all day long. Not the best French food I have ever had, but possible the best mass catering French Food - nothing to complain about either in choice (very wide at every meal) or quality.

Staff plentiful and helpful with good English. The GO's work hard to keep the party atmosphere going

How Club Med provide what they do at the price astonishes me. No need to spend any cash at all in the whole week. I priced a very basic self catering studio apartment with Ski hire/pass/lessons and the total cost was about the same.

We have already decided to book the same package next year!

Our Ski Group stayed here the first week of Feb 2013. In spite of some shortcomings, our overall impression of this resort was very good. On the minus side, the rooms are tiny- maybe a foot on either side of the beds and they should have more hooks to hang ski clothes that need drying. The other minus is the ski locker area that is extremely crowded each am and pm at crunch time. As a former youth hockey coach, the smell wasn't too bad by those standards but if you haven't had that experiance, be forewarned!

On the plus side are several significant items. First, the staff is exceptional at engaging you and entertaining you from the time the bus arrives until departure. They are first rate! Second, there is always food and beverage to be had. Third, the meals were wonderful. A different theme each night and a stunning array of variety and well prepared. Wine and beer flowed freely at any time- all included unless you wanted a special high end item. Finally, the location is excellent, a gondola offloads in the attached building and it is just a short jaunt to several other high speed lifts.

The terrain in the Trois Vallee is spectacular and immense. Club Med offered guides/instructors broken up into four levels of ability. If you claim to be a four (highest) you'd better be able to back that up and be prepared for a fast paced week. That said, you will get an amazing tour of this vast area. We got a couple of feet of snow the week of our stay and we had some of the finest deep powder skiing of our lives!

In spite of the shortcomings, I would have no problem with returning to this location.

Room Tip: to choose a good room: good luck with that! For 44 euro, get a 5 day sports club membership for hot tub, steam room, sauna, pools and more about a 5 minute walk from the hotel
