We have been before, we will go again!
A unique and inspiring hideaway that will delight families in search of easy-going fun and family life; indulge and charm couples looking for privacy and a bolt-hole After only a few hours you will feel like the chateau belongs to you as much as anyone else and you will rack your brains to find any way to extend your stay a little bit longer! Our first overnight stay quickly became a 2 day sejour, and this time we made no mistake - booking in for 4 days with 2 teenage children this time! With activities such as kayaking in the Gorges d'Ardeche, canyoning in Canyon de Besorgues, hiking, swimming, and then plenty of sun-lounging there is every opportunity to work up an appetitie for Eric's magnificent Table d'Hotes. Dinner at the chateau should not be missed, for gourmets and gourmands alike it is a wonderful lesson in local produce and first class cuisine.; and impress everyone looking for something a bit special. Husband and wife team of Eric and Marie-Antoinette together with their lovely family and hard-working staff have created a perfect balance in Chateau Clement that allows everyone who visits to relax and settle into chateau life at their very own pace.

Marie-Antoinette and Eric's own interior design cleverly combines staggering period architecture and original features such as the double storey, curved and leaning wood panelled staircase, with modern, iconic design pieces to unique and brilliant effect, while remaining true to the chateau's essence.
There is something for everyone here, it is well worth dropping in to experience for yourself. There's a good reason they have such a high level of repeat bookings - we felt like newbies on only a 2nd visit when some were on their 7th!

This little known property in an undiscovered part of France is a gem. If you come for cycling, all the better. But the cuisine by the chef/owner, for us, was the highlight. Every meal was exquisite and the surroundings are breathtaking. If you come to relax, their is a magnificent pool and the rooms are modern and immaculate. Our advice is to stay longer than you initially book.

We had a one night stay here on our way from Annecy to Nimes which was way too short.
The chateau is beautiful with lovely gardens, a heated pool and very comfortable bed. The owners have done a great job maintaining the charm and ambience of a chateau. They are very friendly and obliging and we had a very enjoyable dinner with other guests, paired with beautiful local wines.

All in all we wished we could have stayed longer.

We chose this place because of the unanimous excellent reviews in tripadvisor and indeed it was a great choice. This place is a gem ! beautiful grounds, amazing castle, rooms perfectly decorated and very comfortable. Everything is of excellent quality and the attention to detail is simply amazing. It has put the bar very high for the next hotel we will go. The food was also very good and the variety of wines that we tasted was excellent. It also caters all audiences, children are very welcome but it is also the most romantic place for a weekend get away.
We will be back... We loved it !!!!!

We spent 2 days at this Ardeche haven with Marie Antoinette and Eric hosting us with our 2 friends from Canada. We began with a feast prepared by Eric and wonderful company in the beautifully restored castle in a region famous for the healing bath spas. We were pampered and made to feel at home. This was the perfect place to soak up the peacefulness and beauty of the mountains after the bustle of Paris. We enjoyed strolling through the town and relaxing by the pool and truly felt embraced by this family and appreciated them sharing the history of the region. The rooms were spacious and gorgeous- with beautiful woodwork carefully restored to its original beauty. The drive through the Ardeche region was truly spectacular and this stop on our tour was definitely one we will savour for a long time!

Room Tip: All rooms with a view and set in quiet mountainside area. We had a lovely view looking down the val...

For Canadians, the Ardeche is probably one of the least travelled parts of France and that's really too bad because the region features spectacular scenery, lovely small, unspoiled towns of character and, of course, great cuisine. For us, however, the highlight of our recent trip to the Ardeche was our 2 day stay at the Chateau Clement and the highlight of our stay there was experiencing the warmth, hospitality and quiet professionalism of Marie Antoinette and Eric, our hosts. We truly felt 'en famille' at the Chateau, a beautiful, well maintained and superbly operated comfort zone. Merci, Marie Antoinette et Eric et a tres bientot!
