Our tour to the floating market included a stop off at this amazing market by the side of the railway tracks. You walk along the train tracks and the vendors are sitting on the floor with their wares, right up to the track.
The locals were very good about tourists being in their way stopping to take photos while they were trying to get on with their daily shopping.
It was a fascinating visit.

Took a minivan tour down the the markets however it started raining and apparently the train doesn't come when it trains. Can't hold it against the weather but it would have been nice to know beforehand.

Markets were smaller than I had anticipated but still a good experience.

From the first announcement of the train approaching till back to their usual activities take less than 5 minutes! Amazing speed. They sell an array of fresh fruits and raw seafood here.

A very big market located at the side of the railway track. Surrounded by lots of interesting foods over. Once the train comes in at 0945hrs, u would see stalls shifting their goods & opening their retractable shelter. It's really amazing, locals & tourists are all gathering to view & welcomes the train.

Been to Bangkok so many times n saw a few vids in YouTube about this place but have never been. So this time round to Bangkok, we decided to bring the kids there to experience it for themselves...(perfect excuse for me)
No regrets ! One of the most amazing daily occurrences in these ordinary folks lives and finally being there to see the action was most extra-ordinary !
Ok, náf said from the rest of the reviewers.......
Just a tip to share...... get into a "best spot"once you get here. It is always very crowded ! Stay put and position yourself to shoot your photos of videos of the soon coming train ! And ofcourse, the vendors keeping the makeshift stalls. After the action is past, you will have plenty of time to shoot all other photos/videos and browse the stalls or get yourself a cold drink (very hot !)

As usual, just sharing...... hope this helps.

cheers !
