Enjoyed it so much! It was beautiful, water a beautuful colour, nice and rocky. Pretty flowers and you can go back to the hidden source of the waterfall. Very nice, cold and refreshing. Very good day, very cheap been twice and next year in Spain will go back again.

Thank Robert L

We went here twice during our 9 day stay near Benidorm, entrance price is a pittance, €4 adults, €2 kids. Plenty of nearby car parking for only €3 a day.
There are well maintained walkways and steps between the different levels and we saw quite a few lifeguards on duty on both visits.
The water is as you would expect very cold on entry, but you soon get used to it and it makes a change cooling off in fresh water rather than the sea. There is a bar cafe in the main entrance, we didn't use it but a lot of people were doing.
It was very busy on both our visits in early August, but it covers a big enough area to find yourself a bit of space for swimming and diving in.
In all it is a very pleasant and cheap day out if you take a picnic and a few drinks in a coolbox.

Our group had 2 kids (7 and 9) and adults in good shape and just OK shape. Everyone had a great time.

When you arrive, don't feel obligated to park in the first lot you come to. They are all the same price, so hold out for one that is closer to the entrance to the park (i.e. up the hill.) There are several restaurant/swimming pool combo places along the road where you can swim if you eat. We had lunch at one and the kids loved jumping into the pool off the diving board.

As you enter the park (4 euros, I think) you'll first encounter the main falls. It was quite crowded so we chose to climb the steep, too-narrow stairs to see the next part. Here we came to everyone's favorite part, where you can jump off a small wooden deck into the refreshing (some would say cold) clear water. If you have water shoes bring them, but don't buy them just to come here. I wore sneakers and then took them off when I wanted to go in the water.

Farther up the river are other places to go in the water and get under a waterfall over a dam.

Best to eat before you go in, as the food at the park didn't look that good. Too bad you can't take a picnic lunch, as the areas around the upper parts of the river would be a great place to sit and eat.

On a typical hot day, this was a great place to spend a couple of hours.

We went on a Sunday to the waterfalls of Algar, but it was a bit too busy. There were many Spaniards with whole families in the water swimming. It is a nice waterfall, but we were there at the wrong time. The nice thing is that you can pick oranges from the trees in the area.

Lovely place to cool of in the cold fresh water. It was a shame that some of the water levels were a bit low due to lack of rain
