This hotel was part of a tour package we purchased for the 24 Hours of LeMans Classic 2014. The proprietors were very delightful people. Our room was a corner room which was very nice. It was very clean. Breakfast was in a different building. Both owners can speak English very well but do appreciate the efforts to speak French. We recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

Room Tip: We had the upstairs room on the corner. Very nice.

My wife & I stayed for a long weekend attending the Le Mans Classic 2014 .

Relais des Cailleres is situated in a very quiet wooded area on the outskirts of St Pavace but is less than 10 minutes drive to Le Mans old town & only 20 minutes from the circuit.

The proprietors are welcoming & we found the accommodation to be spacious & well appointed.

Breakfast was more than adequate & included home made yoghurt & jams.

The downstairs kitchen is an added bonus so if we did not feel like 'chasing food' after a long exhausting day at the circuit, by popping in to a supermarket on the way to St Pavace a quick meal could be produced & eaten 'al fresco' on the picnic tables.

Another bonus is secure off road parking.

We both look forward to staying again in the future.

Room Tip: All rooms are on the same floor but number one is slightly larger.

We stayed here one night in May 2014en route from the south of France to Roscoff. After a long drive the peace and quiet of the beautiful surroundings and comfortable, clean and well-appointed room was most welcome.
The owner-who speaks perfect English-was charming, very helpful and made us very welcome.Breakfast in the orangery next morning was a most pleasant experience and we set-off fully rested and relaxed after a good night's sleep.
The hotel is just a short distance away from the centre of Le Mans but has the great advantage of being set within a quiet location.
Very much recommended.

Room Tip: They all seem quiet.

The B & B rooms are on the 1st floor of a converted outbuilding of a large house in quiet surroundings near the river. The B&B is only 8 minutes by car from the old town of Le Mans (definitely worth visiting), so is very handy. The room was very clean and well-appointed with all the necessary bits and pieces. When we stayed there was only one other couple staying so it was very quiet. Breakfast was over the grass in the Orangerie - self-service when we were there - and had the usual choice. Would recommend staying here.

Merci pour votre témoignage chaleureux. Une petite modification s'impose quant à l'origine du bâtiment qui n'était pas un "aéroport" mais une grange attenante à notre maison.

Sadly my husband and I only stayed 1 night on route to Southern France. We would like to have stayed longer. What a delightful location. The room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was wonderful, with delicious home made and local produce and served in a beautifully decorated orangerie. We would strongly recommend a visit to this guesthouse. We will definitely be back and next time we will stay longer to explore the beautiful countryside.

My husband and I stayed there for 1 night, en route to catch ferry at Caen the next day. It was a lovely Chambre d'Hote to stay in, the room was beautiful with lots of artistic touches and the Orangerie where we had breakfast was a total delight. Madame has painted the whole of one wall so to sit eating there was to constantly search out new parts of the street scene there. Breakfast included creamy home-made yoghurt with home made conserves also as well as the usual cereals and plenty of breads and croissant. The use of a full size kitchen with all pots and pans as needed and 4 ring hob made our evening meal very easy to produce and then to eat in separate dining room. The surroundings were lovely also. The tv had 300 channels we were advised and the room heating could be set at whatever was needed. I cannot recommend this highly enough and all that would have made it perfect was that there be some kind of comfortable seating area downstairs as well as the excellent kitchen and dining room. Sadly, as we will in future be bringing our dog to France, we will not be able to stay there again.

Room Tip: All rooms overlook the garden and are very private.

My partner and I stopped here on our way further South. While the rooms are small, they are perfectly adequate for an overnight stop, having TV, coffee and tea making facilities and en suites. We had a very warm welcome from the owner who gave us useful information on places to eat in Le Mans itself. The peace and tranquility in the area after a lovely French meal at one of his recommendations certainly led to a good night's sleep. Breakfast was basic and at £8 can seem expensive but it is the norm in French B&Bs in our experience. We did enjoy the homemade yoghurt and honey however. If we're passing close to Le Mans again, it will certainly be on our list of places to look at.
