My sister and my two neices stayed at the Wren House for 4 days. It was an impressive visit and far exceeded any of our expectations. Kiloran was a delightful and professional hostess and the house and grounds were gorgeous. The breakfast food and ambience were perfect and no detail was too small. The recommendations of places to visit and routes to take were detailed and "spot on". We were so lucky to find the Wren Inn and would stay again if we are lucky enough to be in the Cotswolds again. We were lodged in the Honeysuckle Room and the Pink Room and would highly recommend both. If you like a beautiful home in a beautiful setting with superior service and attention to detail this is an ideal establishment.

This small, yet perfectly formed, cottage is simply adorable. It is the perfect size for a couple and fully-equipped with everything that one could need in a home-from-home. Kiloran has spent a lot of time ensuring that her guests can get to know the surrounding area by providing a basket full of ideas for walks and tours of The Cotswolds. The cottage is also equipped with wifi, multi-channeled tv, DVD player, stereo, stacks of books and magazines. Make a booking to come and stay here. You won't regret it.

Wren House is in a wonderful setting. Charming Cotswold cottages and farms.Just nature!
No stores, businesses,or cars.. Kiloran is a delightful host who guided us to her home after our car broke down on the M5. It was midnight when we arrived and she offered us hot tea to soothe our frazzled nerves..The rooms are attractive and the beds are extremely comfortable.
The best breakfast we had in England was here. Her two loving dogs added just the right touch
to make you feel you were visiting a friend..STAY HERE YOU WILL LOVE IT

We stayed two nights at Wren House and never wanted to leave. We were met on a chilly day with a roaring fire, hot tea, and warm lemon cake. We felt at home as soon as we walked in to the beautiful stone house. The decorating is the perfect mix of formal and casual, with unique collections and fascinating art work. Our rooms were filled with a multitude of interesting books, magazines about the area, and every comfort we could ask for. Delicious breakfasts were served in the sunny open kitchen with views of the gardens all around. Kiloren was so helpful in planning our time in the Cotswolds. The view from our upstairs window included a thoughtfully laid out garden and sheep grazing in pastures across the road. So peaceful! Just what we were hoping to find in the English countryside.

Myself and my husband spent a week at the Granary and had a fabulous time. We had never been to the Cotswolds before and the information Kiloran supplied on the local area was invaluable. We were able to visit the loveliest villages and the most interesting local places of interest, a favourite was the Batsford Arboretum. We also had some lovely meals including a great lunch at the Horse and Groom in Bourton-on-the-Hill - again on the reccomendation of Kiloran.

The cottage itself had everything you need for two people and was very cosy. The living room had a lovely window seat where you could sit and admire the countryside. Overall I would reccomend visiting the Cotswolds and staying in this lovely cottage.

Thank you Kiloran for a delightful weekend - such attention to detail, and for making our stay in the Cotswolds so relaxing and enjoyable. It was lovely to stay for a few nights, the breakfast was delicious, and your knowledge of local attractions and the recommended tourist drive were great.

Wonderful place, just perfect. It is close to all the beautiful towns in Cotswolds and Kiloran McGrigor helped us to make an excellente itinerary visiting the prettiest villages and eating in very nice places (be sure to have a GPS in the car, it helps a lot!)
We've rented the Granary Cottage for 3 nights during the winter. The cottage is soooo cosy! It has just everything you need and privacy as well.
We don't have anything bad to say, we plan to go back to the Cotswolds someday and stay in the same cottage again!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Wren House Bed and Breakfast is a charming 15th-century house in the small and peaceful hamlet of Donnington barely two miles from Stow-on-the-Wold. There are three double bedrooms and three dedicated bathrooms, one en suite, each with large and very comfortable (everyone says so!) kingsize beds and feather duvets. This is the private home of Mrs. Kiloran McGrigor and her two yellow Labradors opened up to staying guests. It has a beautiful south-facing garden, and all rooms overlook it, in which guests are invited to sit and, if fine, breakfast is served al fresco. Breakfasts are sumptuous affairs - lots of fruit, cereals, juice and yoghurt and full cooked breakfast if guests wish. Conversation round one table can be entertaining and stimulating. Next to Wren House is a self-catering cottage for two under the same ownership. Guests at the cottage can enjoy all day access and their own secluded garden so this works best for longer stays. ... more   less
