We recently had our annual corporate retreat at the Crescendo at Big White. Although it was a small group of 12 senior executives, the space and location were perfect. The team loved the spot as it was away from distractions and completely self contained with all the needed amenities and upto-date modern technology, which aided in us being able to focus on the purpose of the trip. The media room was a perfect space to hold presentations, with the comfortable theater style seats. We will definitely be back each year.
Crescendo is a gorgeous building that stands out from the surrounding homes, and is a complete smart home, in every way. I’ve never seen anything like it.
- How often do we get to stay in a smart home? Very cool experience!
- Crescendo easily accommodated our party, with capacity to spare. The home is well kept and very clean.
- The children and adults loved the pool: really cool indoor/outdoor concept.
- The movie theater and the suite of movies were amazing. It was like an unlimited selection of entertainment.
- The steam shower was an experience!
- The BBQ area and built-in sound system was the perfect private patio experience.
- Also, it was super quiet; it was like we had the whole Village to ourselves. Being from the city, I personally liked that.
Mitch, your service was amazing, and the property managers were a call away and showed up promptly when needed. Crescendo is a pretty cool place, and I recommend staying here.
Heads-up to those visiting in the summer. Crescendo is on a mountain, so the nights can get rather chilly. Great for using Crescendo’s Jacuzzi, but one should be prepared by bringing along more than just merely shorts and t-shirts. Another tip is to gas-up before leaving Kelowna, as there are no gas stations between there and Big White (you’ll need at least 80 kilometers of fuel to get to and from Crescendo).
Thanks Mitch for supplying the location for our memories.
Everything from the initial email about booking was fantastic. Mitch looked after our group from start to finish, taking the time to ensure that we had everything we needed. Our group was 11 professional guys, up there in August and it was absolutely incredible. The AC kept the house a nice temperature, and the perfect giant hottub/small pool could be hot or cold. The space in the house was fantastic, and the place is absolutely top notch. There was an local handyman available to fix anything that was needed (we didn't need him). He has been looking after the house for almost 10 years and knows it inside and out.
I've never been on a more comfortable bed, and the sleeping accommodations gave all 11 guys their own beds (plus two small kids beds to spare).
The entire group was absolutely wowed, and felt it was worth every penny.
To sum it up, stunning home, incredibly well equipped with everything, and top notch service from the owner.
The weekend was awesome and the place surpassed all of our expectations. I was very happy with everything, especially the well stocked kitchen. It was an excellent place to celebrate but also relax. Dan was very helpful as well and came by to check on the pool and make sure everything was great. I would not hesitate to recommend crescendo to anybody heading to big white.
We recently stayed at Crescendo with 2 other families.
There were 15 of us in total and we had more than enough space.
The kids loved it. The movie room was a hit. And the hot tub.
The owner Mitch was incredibly helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crescendo.
Staying here was an incredible experience! From the location right in the heart of the mountain, to each and every amazing room, to the views from all the windows, the luxury and detail throughout the home, etc., it really was a special place to stay. The website was very accurate in the description and pictures of this home. I appreciated how clean it was, and ready for our stay. It easily accommodated a large group, but also felt cozy even when most of the group left. I would highly recommend it.
We stayed at Crescendo for our wedding in August. The mountain has started staying open in the summer months only recently, which means it's basically deserted. The house had everything we needed to host a couple of events. While only a handful of our guests actually stayed at the house, we comfortably hosted nearly 50 people for cocktails and a barbecue. The other guests were all able to find affordable accommodation elsewhere on the mountain - even at the last minute. The house served as a perfect launch point for golf, vineyards, and other activities down in Kelowna. Mitch and his staff were extremely accommodating. "The house is built for fun" was a line we heard a few times. As long as your guests are respectful, they are open to the house being used to its full potential as a great place for celebration and mingling. We had our dinner at the Globe restaurant - which served an incredible meal and is only a few hundred meters away - and then walked back to the house with our guests where a bartender kept everyone happy all night long.
