“Our Perfect Wedding at Crescendo”
Reviewed 19 February 2018 for a stay in September 2017

In September 2017, my husband and I were married at Crescendo. From the moment we began our planning with the owner, we felt supported and encouraged. Mitch has a helpful, flexible, and accommodating staff that takes care of the venue during the bike and ski season. As soon as we stepped foot inside Crescendo, we knew it would be the perfect place to stay during our wedding weekend and to hold our 120 person ceremony and reception. The indoor space gave a unique house party feel to our wedding and due to the magnificent architecture of the chalet, décor was kept to a minimum with floral arrangements, greenery, and “enchanted forest” details. Guests were able to hang out in the theatre room (where we positioned the main bar), in the great room (where staff removed all furniture and we made a dance floor with a DJ set-up), around the beautiful dessert table (dining room), and outside on the covered patio (where we had a band, a cocktail hour bar, and patio seating. I was able to get ready in the master bedroom, which provided a perfect dressing room for the makeup artist, hair stylist, and bridal party to spend the afternoon. The catering company (Details Catering) were familiar with the venue and took advantage of the modern kitchen area to create and serve canapés throughout the venue (we chose not to have a sit down dinner). The outdoor space at Crescendo provided a scenic and ethereal venue for the wedding ceremony. We were able to set out over 100 rented chairs and the event company we hired (Blushing Pear Event Planning and Rentals) created an elegant aisle and arched area for the ceremony to take place. At the end of the weekend, we didn’t want to leave the luxury of this chalet at Big White. Our guests were blown away by the magic of our wedding weekend at Crescendo. If you are interested in getting married at Big White Ski Resort, Crescendo is the place to do it!

Melissa, what can I say? You are genuinely beautiful: inside and out. It is no wonder that you, as a bride, were drop dead gorgeous. Michael, too – wow – so handsome. Does he ever stop smiling? As a couple, together, you made the event magical. You, and not Crescendo, deserve all the credit. Thank you, though, for your thoughtful review and your generously kind comments.

“Fantastic Stay”
Reviewed 15 January 2018 for a stay in January 2018

A big thank you to Mitch, Sheila and Dan for looking after our group during our stay at Crescendo. It was such a memorable stay and the accommodation was out of this world! Everything about this house is incredible. The heated pool, games room, theatre room and the amazing kitchen. Also it’s the best ski in/out on the mountain, with a short walk to the village. Thanks again Mitch, your property is truly outstanding

Hey Matt –

A big, “Thank You!” to you, Matt, for the extremely kind words. So glad you all got to experience Crescendo. I totally agree about the house being incredible/outstanding, along with the home’s location on the mountain, but there is one downside. After experiencing Crescendo, many, including myself, find it difficult to stay elsewhere.

Thanks for being such spectacular guests.

Best!

Mitch

“Crescendo 10/0”
Reviewed 17 December 2017 for a stay in December 2017

Hello Mitch!

We are so grateful for an amazing stay at your beautiful home! Our guests were so impressed. Many of our younger crew have never had the chance to stay in such luxury. This made the experience even more special for us. The ping pong table, games etc were all put to good use. Oh..and that hot tub is amazing!
Your extra touches like the cups, vinegar and coffee are so appreciated, thank you, those cups are so neat!
Upon arrival the garage door opened and there were three people there to greet us and help unload our vehicle. This WAY exceeded expectations. Sheila did a great job showing us how the home functions.
Cresendo 10/10!
We hope to be able to do a repeat next year.
Thanks Mitch,

Tina and Brad

Hi Tina / Brad -

Wow! Thanks so much for taking the time to post the review. I sent the link to Sheila & Dan, asking them to share your feedback with their crew, as well. We do truly try very hard (and don't always succeed) - something that the customs agents couldn't understand when they grilled me about the 40 (single) pounds of my favorite coffee (Sulawesi-Kalossi), 80 of the “magic” coffee mugs (and 48 embroidered robes) that I brought with me from California a couple months ago. This ski season booked-out so fast this year, that yesterday I had to scramble to block-off a week for me and the family. Looks like we’ll be closing out the mountain for that last week of the season. Can’t wait!

Thanks SO MUCH for being such incredible guests, and for the great comments.

Best! Mitch

“Perfect for a Corporate Retreat”
Reviewed 20 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We recently had our annual corporate retreat at the Crescendo at Big White. Although it was a small group of 12 senior executives, the space and location were perfect. The team loved the spot as it was away from distractions and completely self contained with all the needed amenities and upto-date modern technology, which aided in us being able to focus on the purpose of the trip. The media room was a perfect space to hold presentations, with the comfortable theater style seats. We will definitely be back each year.

Thanks Sharon, for the great review. Hosting Corporate Retreats at Crescendo was at the forefront during our design stage. In a previous email you noted that the group “ended up using the media room for presentations,” and that they had shared it “felt like they were at the movies, but watching a presentation.” Exactly our intention.

The snow came very early, too, at Big White this year. I understand that it flurried on two of the days, and that on the last day a dust of snow remained on the ground.

Best!

“Amazing Place”
Reviewed 18 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Everything from the initial email about booking was fantastic. Mitch looked after our group from start to finish, taking the time to ensure that we had everything we needed. Our group was 11 professional guys, up there in August and it was absolutely incredible. The AC kept the house a nice temperature, and the perfect giant hottub/small pool could be hot or cold. The space in the house was fantastic, and the place is absolutely top notch. There was an local handyman available to fix anything that was needed (we didn't need him). He has been looking after the house for almost 10 years and knows it inside and out.
I've never been on a more comfortable bed, and the sleeping accommodations gave all 11 guys their own beds (plus two small kids beds to spare).
The entire group was absolutely wowed, and felt it was worth every penny.
To sum it up, stunning home, incredibly well equipped with everything, and top notch service from the owner.

Thanks Dr. Cam! So glad, truly, that you all got to experience Crescendo, and that you all found Crescendo to be an "Amazing Place." Glad, too, you all got to experience that over the summer. Believe it or not, the majority of our guests only get to experience Crescendo over the winter during ski season. Summer, though, is my favorite time there. Best! Mitch

The weekend was awesome and the place surpassed all of our expectations. I was very happy with everything, especially the well stocked kitchen. It was an excellent place to celebrate but also relax. Dan was very helpful as well and came by to check on the pool and make sure everything was great. I would not hesitate to recommend crescendo to anybody heading to big white.
Thank you.
