This has been one of the best best westerns we have stayed at my only gripe was if you are going to put the same option as a starter and main make sure it is on the till like this. Caused me and my wife eating separately on our anniversary and also the staff should be asking how you want meat cooked for me serving duck well done is a no go.other than this all staff were great especially the lady manager in the stables and Richard in there to very polite and couldn't do enough.

wonderful hotel in a perfect setting. Rooms were very comfortable and plush. Food was excellent with a good choice of dishes, both in the restaurant and room service menu. A very beautiful place, no wonder it is a favourite for weddings.

i went to beamish hall hotel for afternoon tea with 16 friends the hotel was a perfect setting for an afternoon tea. as i say there was a lot of us but the staff made us feel as if we mattered as a person. the tea was out of this world sandwiches were fresh and the cakes were delicious. and there are no words to describe the scones and cream and jam, and they were served on old fashioned three tiered plates. if you want good food in beautiful surroundings then make this your choice

We returned to beamish hall hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary, after having our wedding reception there 10 years to the date. The hotel was amazing, we got a superior room and it was amazing, huge 4 poster bed, seating area, massive windows, superb modern bathroom. The staff were amazing and we mentioned on check in that it was our 10th anniversary, a while later a member of staff came up with some sparkling wine, chocolates and a card from beamish hall to say happy anniversary. We ate in the stables restaurant which is next door (this was excellent also, I will write a separate review) our breakfast the next day was fantastic and staff were lovely. I was worried that since the hotel has been taken over by best western who a large chain, it would have lost its charm and character, but it was just as amazing as it was when we stayed there 10 years ago. If the hotel had a pool and spa area I would return here again and again, we will still return anyway as it was fantastic.

Room Tip: Choose a premier room for a bit of luxury with a 4 poster bed.

A really good hotel experience. My husband and I stayed here for work. We had a double room looking over the courtyard. The room was a good size with a superb bathroom, including a wet room shower arrangement. The bed was big and the sheets proper cotton, both pluses in my book. Breakfast was lavish, varied and the hot stuff well-cooked. The staff were friendly and efficient, and even a wailing baby didn't spoil our stay (someone else's baby, not ours). The grounds are gorgeous too.

This is an excellent hotel in a beautiful location next door to the beamish museum park. Plenty of free parking, elegant rooms, and excellent breakfast with no supplements for specials. The stables restaurant serves good food and has a fine menu. The only disadvantages I found was poor mobile phone reception and low internet signal strength which is not a problem for one night.

As we drove into the grounds of Beamish Hall I was totally overwhelmed by its size and situation. I was sure that our room would be one in a converted cow shed at the rear, or suchlike but no! We were greeted at reception by a most wonderfully friendly receptionist who made us both feel so very welcome. After we'd booked in we were briefed on the facilities and given a copy of the menu and asked what time we would like to eat that evening.
Our dinner in the Stables Restaurant was delicious and again the staff were excellent and very attentive.
Breakfast in the huge breakfast room was superb, an excellent choice and the cooked English was just the best. I cannot wait to return

Room Tip: Our room was at the back overlooking a courtyard but it made no difference as in November the daylig...
