“Super place!”
Reviewed 20 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Lovely bungalow decorated to a high standard. Good location convenient for Durham and Newcastle. Walking distance to the open air museum. Would definitely come again.

Liked best: The high standard of facilities in the property.
Liked least: Ideally, twin beds in the 2nd room rather than a double but it's not a problem.

“Like staying in our best friend's house - for us and our pup!”
Reviewed 8 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

Delightful bungalow - everything you could want is here - just like home from home with everything so thoughtfully prepared for us.
Good wifi. Good TVs in almost every room. High quality furniture throughout so it feels nice.
Spacious, bright, warm (it's February) and a really really comfortable 'liveable' place to be.
Great location - on the doorstep of the fabulous and unmissable Beamish Museum, with great local walking paths for the dog, cycle paths and some fab local eating spots ( Black Horse Inn, South Causey Inn, Bayberry Hollow)
A real gem.

“Beautiful countryside setting, luxurious feel with easy access to Newcastle and Durham”
Reviewed 23 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Very impressed with the high quality accommodation woodland view had to offer. Perfect for young children, we have an 8 week old and found the equipment in the bungalow very good. From the cotbed to the baby bath and steriliser everything had been thought of. Lovely large lounge area to relax in the evenings after soaking in the roll top bath and putting on the dressing gowns provided. The kitchen was very well equipped which makes it easy to cook and eat in on the large dining table. Close to Durham and Newcastle and the A1. Overall extremely happy we booked and will happily return in future.

“Great place to stay - highly recommended.”
Reviewed 12 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

The property is located near the end of a very quiet cul-de-sac in pretty Beamish village. It is surrounded by homes of a similar style. A very private bungalow with a pleasant outlook from the living area and kitchen over the garden and fields beyond.
Great location for getting into the Gateshead/Newcastle area or across to Durham and Northumberland. Plenty of walks from the door and nearby. Plus an easy walk to Beamish Museum.
Woodland view was very well furnished, extremely clean (perhaps the cleanest we have ever rented) and very well equipped. We appreciated the thoughtful provision of many extra items often not present in other holiday cottages.
One of the best places we have rented in many years of spending Christmas and New Year in the UK. Felt like a true home from home.
The owners were a real pleasure to deal with and most responsive and helpful without being intrusive.
Would recommend this property without hesitation.
