really nice campsite, very quiet and family focussed. The plots are a decent size and right next to the sea. There is a private bay about 100m from the campsite as well which is lovely. When we were there it was quite windy which did shake the tent at night a bit. I think this is just what you would expect when camping on a cliff top though!

We were right in the middle in G41 which was quite secluded with walls on 2 sides so it felt very cosy and private. The toilets were right nearby as well. If we'd been in the field I think I would have felt the toilets were a bit far away and i think there is only 1 block for them. The facilities are good though with plenty of showers/ hot water/ washing up stations etc. we never had to queue.

all in all a lovely campsite.

Stayed on the Square for 9 nights from the last week in June and had an excellent stay.
Pitch was great. Site was well kept with lovely flowers and shrubs - just a shame some parents don't care about their kids playing football and trampling all over them!
We found the staff really friendly, shop well stocked, shower blocks clean and access to the beaches just perfect.
The site goes very quiet around 10pm which suited us with a baby.
Shame nobody mentioned this to the two families who hit the beer as soon as they arrived on the Friday night and thankfully left on the Sunday morning. At least we were entertained with the two 'gentlemen' from either tent squaring up to one another on the Saturday afternoon!
Other than this, it was a great stay and we would recommend anyone 'sensible' who wanted a quiet family camping break to visit.

We stayed at a friend's recommendation and it was as good as they promised. The campsite is in a beautiful location with a lovely beach and excellent access onto the coastal path. The site is immaculately presented and the shower/toilet blocks cleaned regularly. The shop is well stocked and all the staff are friendly and helpful. We had a luxury pitch with an electrical hook up which was plenty big enough. I would definitely stay here again. The only small issue I have is that a lot of people seem to ignore the two car rule and the condition to keep their cars and tourer/tent/gazebo within their own pitch, instead people were parked in front of their pitch or on the communal space as they had no room due to the way they had sited their equipment. As it was quiet when we were there this was not an issue but I could see it could be a problem when the site is busy. This is not meant as a bad reflection of the site or the staff as the pitches are definitely big enough.

Room Tip: If you can get a pitch closer to the shop they are more sheltered from the wind. The other closer to...

This is the first time we have stayed here and it was after a friends recommendation. it was well kept, and clean, all pitches were grass and were big individual pitches, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the shop was excellent and the beach at the site was lovely.
the only thing that would stop us returning were the really narrow lanes leading to the site and you can't blame anyone for that can you?
I imagine it will be really busy in the school holidays but we came back this weekend and it was lovely. we talked to several people who come every year and some who come most weekends, a lovely site in a beautiful place

Just returned from a 10 night stay at Mother Ivey's Bay, our second consecutive year and already planning next year's visit.

Stayed on a super-pitch with our tourer, which is absolutely huge, the largest I've ever come across. The pitches can be a little uneven, so worth bringing your levellers and wooden blocks just in case, although we forgot them this year and it didn't cause us a major problem. Everyone is so friendly on site, staff always working hard and moving around on little golf-buggies giving a cheery hello as they go by. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful when we arrived. Wonderful to have Chough Bakery items for sale in the on-site shop (fresh croissants each morning, pasties at lunch-time, delicious). The lady in the shop even remembered that we were returning home when we stopped for supplies for the trip back and wished us a safe journey.

It's true that the toilet/shower block looks a little dated inside compared to some other places, however, the staff make up for this by keeping them spotlessly clean and tidy and I didn't have a problem using them.

My parents stayed in a static van whilst we were there, which was immaculate and very comfortable. We saw an adjacent van being cleaned prior to new arrivals and it was incredibly thorough, with the inside of cupboards and crockery/cutlery being cleaned too.

For me this is the best place on earth. It has access to a fantastic beach, which is dog-friendly (dog-lead restrictions are in place during some parts of the day), a gate onto a fabulous coastal walk and is about 15 min drive to Padstow and all its amenities.

Thanks to all the team at Mother Ivey's Bay for making our stay perfect, you even ordered us great weather!

Most pitches sloping so go prepared. View and pick your pitch from Goole Maps and site plan - although not guaranteed - which is handy. Showers and facilities clean just not the most modern but everything is out of date the moment you install it so not an issue for us. Watch out for extremely hot water in the very powerful showers - might be a problem for kids. Would like a mop or squeegie for use after showering. Shop sells a great selection of everything you might need. Staff helpful and always polite. Great location in Cornwall and fantastic views from some pitches - not telling which ones though. Oh and the beach - - - - - FANTASTIC!

OVERALL - - GREAT!! Going back next year for two weeks and can't wait.
