Eye-watering prices for this patch of grass. The statics are higher spec than Harlyn. God's paradise if the sky is blue and there is a swell. Constantine a short walk. Watch out the for the camp guards who will not permit any ball games except in ze playfield. Facilities for kids given no priority and two working washing machines for a camp this size insufficient. No pink mohawks with tattooed knuckles. For that go next door to Harlyn

If by missing the magic act, or a tribute to somebody you've never heard of in a working mans club environment is going to ruin your day then Mother Ivies Bay is not the place for you.
If however you want to stay at a site surrounded by courteous, polite and well mannered family's and groups, who observe the noise curfew and are happy to chat or help a fellow camper, then there is no better park.
The site is beautifully maintained as are all of the facilities, with polite helpful staff on hand.
The surrounding area is breathtaking with a choice of beaches and bays to suit everybody's needs, from paddling and kayaking on Harlyn sands, to bodyboarding and surfing at Boobies and Constantine Bay.
Conveniently situated, Padstow is only a short drive away.
For a relaxing, stress free break you'll be hard pushed to beat Mother Ivies Bay.

Returned to Mother Iveys after a couple of years and the site is still maintained to a high standard with the staff and grounds being very welcoming. we stayed in a hire van and it was kitted out with all we needed for the week. Had a problem with the door lock but a quick visit to the office it was fixed in 20 minuets. We were blessed with perfect weather during our week so didn't travel far from the great sandy beach. We went to the site arranged barbecue for the lifeboats fund on the beach on Wednesday evening, even though the queue was long there was plenty of food to have at the end and at a very good price.

Being first time campers with our 2 year old daughter we were wondering how things were going to turn out- but we needn't have worried. On arrival we we're given a map of where our pitch was with locations of the toilets/ shop etc. Our pitch was directly opposite the children's park, while we put the tent up our daughter played, in fact she hardly left there! There is a no noise policy after 11 which everybody adhered to. The bins and toilets were cleaned and emptied at least 3 times a day resulting in very clean facilities- love the fact that everything can be recycled in the different bins. Never had to queue for toilets/ showers but short wait to wash dishes. The beach is AMAZING! Such a great feature of the park- 5 minutes walk away! We will defiantly be booking to stay next year and rather than the 2 nights, we'll book a week! Fully recommended

This was our second visit to Mother Ivey's. It came highly recommended by friends last year and we had such a wonderful time, we decided to visit again this year (and have already put in our provisional booking for next!)

The location is fantastic - just a few minutes walk to the most beautiful beach which never seems over crowded. Our two children loved it here, spending many happy hours rock pooling, building sand castles and playing in the water ( we took body boards and a small inflatable boat to use in the shallows). If you love the beach, you'd probably be happy to never leave the site! Although we didn't, you are allowed to bbq on the beach if you like and there are plenty of bins (Mother Ivey are great at recycling facilities) just as you leave the beach.

We took our tent and chose a luxury pitch in 'The Square' with electric hook up which was well marked out level. We only has to wait for the showers once (which I thought was very impressive considering we went in peak season) and the added bonus of family showers was greatly appreciated when trying to get a 4 and 7 year old washed after a day on the beach! Toilets, showers and the washing up area was clean and I regularly saw staff cleaning the facilities. The shop was well stocked and have fresh break, baked goods and pasties delivered daily - the chocolate croissants are delicious!

Staff were always welcoming and friendly and when our daughter managed to get stung by a sea anemone (she sat on one whilst rock pooling!) they couldn't have been kinder, offering advice in a caring way.

If you are after somewhere with a no club house, evening entertainment, bars and restaurants then this is not the place for you. But if, like us, you are after a peaceful and relaxing family holiday set in a stunning location then we would recommend booking.

We cannot rate this place highly enough!

We've just returned from a 2 week break at the site. It's a fantastic place. The site is clean and well kept. The borders in the main site are well tended and lovely to walk past on the way to the beach. We camped in the Meadows area - a large field at the back of the site where the pitches are laid out in rows delineated by marked grass. The pitches were large with plenty of room for a large tent - we have a vango tigris 800 about 7.5 X 4.5 (with porch included) which fitted easily and left room for the car and space to lounge outside the tent.

There is a great play area on site which all of our kids (3,6 & 8) thoroughly enjoyed - every spare minute they had they wanted to go down and play with friends they had made there. Even when the campsite filled up the play area seemed to be able to cope.

The beaches surrounding the site are also great - the campsite beach itself is a treat- only a short walk from the site - lovely clean sand, clear water and a view of the lifeboat station across the bay. Boobys, Constantine Bay and Harlyn Bay beaches are also within easy walking distance and all offer something different. The coastal path walk to Constantine past the lighthouse was lovely - if a little windy.

On Wednesday afternoons this year they have Beach activities with a forest school person on their beach - you have to pay but our eldest 2 had a great 2 hours. They also run Wednesday evening BBQ's on the beach with proceeds going to the RNLI.

The facilities seemed to be kept clean most of the time - as with any campsite it's the users that cause issues and sometimes there were paper towels on the floor of the toilets but that's not the fault of the site - they did seem to clean often and well.

There were occasional short queues for showers - being an early riser I didnt experience this in the morning - mainly when coming back from the beach in the afternoon. There were also sometimes queues for the dishwashing facilities - but nothing excessive.

There are plenty of bins and recycling places on the site - all regularly emptied.

The shop stocks some great fresh bakery products from the local choughs bakery - the granary bread was delicious as were the pasties and the flapjack! It is a campsite shop so a little more expensive than elsewhere. There is a book exchange in the shop which provided my reading material for the second week - proceeds to the RNLI.

The location of the site means the only noise you'll hear at night will be the waves crashing into the coast - or the flapping of your tent in the wind. The quiet hours seemed to be well observed - in the time I was there I only once heard something after 11.

We would definitely consider coming back again
