“lovely evening”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

Being half term we had to book a couple of days in advance to get a table, it was worth the wait, The menu is not huge, but there was something for everyone, the food was beautifully presented, and extremely tasty. The waitress was a delight and couldnt do more for us. We didnt take the kids, asfelt it was a bit too expensive for them, but we will certainly go back, but look out for the wine prices!

“Little gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

Ate here last week as the last night of our holiday. Second year running we have been here and we'll go back next year. Great little restaurant, good food and great relaxed atmosphere. It's small, only about 7 or 8 tables, but it has a great view of the food prep area so you can see them cook and feels like eating in someone's kitchen. Yet again, they were great with the kids and the food was excellent. The kind of restaurant that absolutely deserves to succeed and we look forward to going back next year. There's no shortage of good eateries in the area and we also ate at The Seafood and Rojano's, but this place is a little bit different and without doubt one of our favourites. Give it a try. Guarantee you won't regret it.

“Simply the best :)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

We are regular visitors to Cornwall and enjoy finding new places to eat each time. Rafferty's was on our list of places to go, due to an obscure reason that I won't go into here ;) Regardless, it turned out to be one of the best finds ever.

We were instantly made to feel welcome by the owner, and were invited to enjoy a drink at the bar first, which was lovely as it meant we didn't feel we were being rushed to order, eat up, and vacate, like so many other places.

When we finally sat down to order, we were pleasantly surprised by the selection, all of which featured high quality, local ingredients. We ordered starters, which were all delicious. For the main, I ordered the lamb, which I don't think could have been any fresher, it was the most beautiful piece of meat I have ever tasted. I forget what I had for dessert, but I think it was a panna cotta. Needless to say, it brought the same delight to the taste buds as the previous two courses.

Throughout the meal, our waitress was friendly, attentive, and a genuine pleasure to have met. The same can be said of the owner, Rafferty, who clearly takes a great pride in his establishment and the quality of dining that it has to offer.

We cannot wait to visit again when we are next in the area, and would certainly recommend that anyone looking for a truly top quality dining experience, places this high on their list.

“You need to try this place!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2014

My husband and I have just spent a week in Constantine Bay and decided to have a romantic night out. There isn't a lot just in the bay area so we decided to walk up to St Merryn to eat, a good 25\30 minute walk from where we were staying.
Rafferty's was fab! Just the kind of place we like to go... Stylish but with the Cornish relaxed vibe. Great cocktails... Try a 'Rude Cosmo'! We decided on the tapas and we weren't dissapointed! Cannot stop thinking about the tempura prawns and teriyaki chicken skewers they were delish... And the patatas bravas, an obvious tapas staple, were the best I've ever had having a coconut twist to them!
Was good value at just over £50 for 7 tapas dishes including 2 cocktails each.
The staff were absolutely lovely too!
Definitely give this place a try you won't be disappointed!
