“Last minute!”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

We booked a caravan relatively late into the Summer (for the purpose of bookings). £540 for the week bought us a 6 berth van for 7 nights. Having camped here a few years back we knew it was not a 5 star site, however, we wanted the location and we're willing to take the chance. Our 9 year old van was clean, and well appointed. Though the extra double was a little musty (so we ended up sleeping on the couch end to end :) ) the rest of the van was pretty good for the money, late July, if I'm honest. You can be over critical of these things, but don't lose sight of why you're there, it's not to sit in a caravan 24/7. The beach is very close and it is a great beach, Constantine is around the corner and Harlyn further up. The site also has washers that wash and dryers that dry, which makes a difference, the staff are nice and unobtrusive, the YHA is also worth a visit but basically you have a good launch pad to enjoy the area. I also believe we will go back next year or the year after.

Room Tip: Don't bank on a sea view, it's not necessary.

Showers a long way away from tents. Far too hot for children. I ended up washing them in a paddling pool. Toilets and wash facilities in portacabins. Once all updated and permenant structures built it will be an awesome sight. Views are amazing and the camping field lovely.

Lovely campsite. 2 shops very close by (one on site the other on the road towards Constantine Bay) for every day basics. Clean facilities - showers, toilets, potwash. The potwash room was equipped with a freezer which was very useful for iceblocks. Yes it is a bit of a walk to the shower block (5 mins) but personally this wasn't an big issue even travelling with children. Showers were free on our visit to the site but it looked like charging would be implemented in the future.

Fantastic location great walks along the coastal path straight from the site and easy acess to two beaches either side of the headland. The YHA on the headland was good for a beer and bite to eat. Also has live music.

The touring field had good views, the grass was long and unkempt. The showers were a 10 minute walk away at the opposite end of the campsite ! The toilets WERE CLEAN , but in a portacabin. If you had little ones they would have been exhausted after the trip for a shower. We were welcomed by a teenager who told us to ' go up the middle road to the end and park anywhere ' Charming ! The static caravan occupies used the entrance of the touring field as a DOG TOILET !
We were disappointed !

Room Tip: Good location.

We have been visiting Treyarnon bay for 5 years now and will keep going back for many years to come. We camp in the top field which is always kept in very good order. The toilet facilities are basic but always cleaned at least three times a day. The wardens have converted an old static caravan into a pot washing area which serves us very well. To get an electrical pitch you need to book very early as there is not too many of them. The shower block is down the other end of the site but they are kept clean and tidy and I haven't had a cold shower yet! We normally drive down to the showers at the end of the day to save walking back in your dressing gown. There are two shops within a stones throw of the site providing everything you need and there are supermarkets in padstow and Newquay short drives away. The YHA on the headland serves beer and food all day every day which is brilliant when your on the beach and the temperatures sore around lunchtime. You have a choice of two great beaches for surfing rock pooling and sand castles. The coastal path makes for great walking with stunning coves and potholes to see. As you can probably tell we love it at Treyarnon I hope you do to.

We visit Treyarnon most years for our family holiday. We stay in static vans run by the site. It is such a great place to stay. So close to the beach. Great Shop in car park where you can buy everything needed for a holiday and a bar in the youth hostel on the headland. It is a really nice quiet family oriented site.
The beach has everything. Great sand. Great surf. Great rockpooling. Many days we spend 10 hours on the beach loaded like pack horses but its worth it for the BBQ at sunset!
