Lovely stay and all facilities excellent. Very close to padstow and newquay. Bakery in St Merryn has a good variety. Lodge was clean and tidy and had everything you would need. Beware of the staff in the Nisa Local - not the friendliest but the shop in St Merryn itself is very good.
Cannot fault anything aboout the Lodge! :)
It has recently been refurbished and the owners efforts certainly show. It is an extremely well cared for home from home and has everything you never knew you needed to make your holiday enjoyable. I even found some super glue we needed in the drawer!
We took my friends parents and the dog and there was plenty of room for all, never did we feel on top of one another.
We were taking our shoes off at the door out of respect for the quality of this accommodation, not a problem as there is even a built in shoe rack by the door!
Beds and sofas comfortable, dining table plenty big enough and kitchen the best stocked we have ever seen. Didn't use the dishwasher or the washing machine but they are there if you need them.
The only slightly disappointing thing about the trip was the typically British weather but even this was eased by the beautiful accommodation.
The owners are excellent at comminicating with you and do check you have everything you need without being 'in your face'.
Would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone wishing to visit this area of Cornwall and would certainly book again should we wish to revisit the area.
Lovely home from home. Very spacious. Had everything we needed for a week away. Extremely well equipped home. Would def stay here again and would highly recommend. :-D
Great facilities, plenty of space and good location, offering the chance to visit some great beaches.
The lodge is located in St Merryn Holiday Park. My husband was a little sceptical about staying in a holiday park, but the quiet cul de sac that the lodge is in made him change his mind. We really only heard the birds and the seagulls. He even had his haircut at the on site barbers and commented that the shop was well stocked and clean.
The lodge is a super base for exploring Padstow, Wadebridge and visiting the gorgeous beaches. Constantine Beach has been a family favourite of ours for the last 8 years (my family took me when I was 4). It's a great pet friendly beach, plenty of rock pools to explore and our children have a great time surfing.
The lodge is lovely to return to -it really does have everything you need and is a real sun trap in the evening whilst we had a BBQ. The owners made sure we were supplied with the basics during our stay, e.g. Tin foil, washing up liquid, cleaning materials, dishwasher pods etc. Thank you also for our welcome bottle of wine.
The owners responded immediately to any payments or questions we had.
Overall, we had a lovely family break in a super lodge and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it or returning next year!
