There is no denying that this hotel has its charme. The location is spectacular, one has a view over the lake in particular in the upper floors of the building. It is an old hotel, and it has been refurbished with some taste and craftmanship involved. All that is fine and well.
What annoyed me majorly, however, this this is yet one more of those hotels (strangely almost exclusively to be found in Germany - please, do hotel makers ever travel?) that think that wireless net access is an extra for which you can charge a lot of extra money. Call it what you want, but it is not an extra. Like a bed and a shower, it is part of the essential package of any hotel room. It is lacking any kind of respect that for many, a hotel room is an office, and it has a very strange aftertaste regarding the implicitly expressed affinity to notions education and technology. Interesting to see also that the long list of things offered and to do in the booklet laid out in the rooms mentions everything, but no internet access.
I will surely not come back. Thank you very much.More
