I stayed at this hotel with my children for one night - our room was very big which was great but it was a bit old and musty with a tiny outdated bathroom (and drip-drip shower) - if it gets refurbished it will be great. The location is nice enough, quiet with nice views bit it is a little outside of the centre of town. Breakfast was disappointing. We got a good deal on the room so you get what you pay for, still I wouldn't go rushing back.

We stayed there from Tuesday, July 31st, till Sunday, August 5th. Our room’s windows faced the courtyard, where cars were loading and unloading, music playing, etc., in the early hours, around 3 to 4 AM, making it impossible to sleep.

We contacted the reception on several occasions regarding the matter, but despite the receptionist’s promise that the hotel manager would be addressing the issue, no one got in touch with us. On check-out, the receptionist proposed that we would only be billed for one night until the hotel manager sorted out the issue directly with us. Regretfully, we discovered that, despite this promise, our friend credit card (she made the initial booking and then was unable to join us due to the illness in the family) was billed in full.

This was night 2 of the European expedition. Nestled in a quite little village about 200m from the lake. We walked all the way along the lake into town which is a lovely walk but a good 30 minutes. Wifi was good and free, great selection of beer and wine and the restaurant was very good also.

i saw it at the internet and it is much better than it looks. it is close to the public baths (2 minutes walk). staff at the reception when we arrived was helpful and let us have a look at the room before checking in. the room had everything with view to the lake. breakfast was o.k. but no omelete which i can't unnderstand why. parking is free. we payed 135 euros which is expensive for this hotel but o.k. if you check the prices of other hotels in konstanz.

We had a tiny room on the second floor with only enough space to walk by the bed. clean but in need of refurbishment. There was a net curtain stapled to the window frame, I suspect to keep out the insects. No WiFi that we were told of and the smallest TV I have ever seen. You need a car to get to the town of Konstanz. Breakfast was good, parking free.

I stayed here for two nights in July 2008 with my family. We had no reservations and the Konstanz city tourist office found it for us; the only hotel with room for a family of four.

Some rooms have a lake view, ours was in the annex but did not. We had an appartment that included a kitchen, double bedroom, two single beds in the living room area. It was large and well equipped, including TV and HiFi system. We paid 170 euros per night.

We did not use the hotel restaurant or bar so I cannot comment on them. The location is excellent. The hotel is in a suburb of Konstanz and looks across the lake to the town centre. When I say suburb, it is on the edge of a wood and large park.

Aproximately 200m from the hotel is the excellent Kontstanz Therme. This spa includes an outdoor olympic swimming pool, water slide and delighted my chldren. Check out their website for more info: http://www.bodensee-therme-konstanz.de/

One evening we eat at the Seeling restaurant at the Therme. The view over the lake from the terrace was nice and food and service were good.

The park next to the hotel is great for lakeside jogging. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there is also a tennis club and mini golf.

To get into town catch the number 5 bus outside the hotel. It is free for visitors and runs every 15 minutes during the day. In the evening we drove into town.

Stay at this hotel for its location and value. It seems mainly focused on business, but the staff were very helpful and told us to get to Meersburg on the car ferry. A good base to explore a beautiful region.
