The hotel is centrally located and the very effective double glazing keeps the noise of the adjacent railway line out. Obviously at one time it was a top class hotel (see the old pictures on the walls ) but now it is just average with rather basic rooms. The buffet breakfast has a good selection.
The major downpoint for me was the chain-smoking receptionist. Although she didn't actually smoke when she was deaing with someone, the smoke lingered and was immediately noticeable every time you came in or went downstairs.
