It was worth doing a tour of Audi Forum. The tour provides a history of Audi and also displays automobiles and motor bikes of the various era of Audi and its predecessors.
Nice way to spend an afternoon.

I was there with AUDI Canada and I was really impressed. The staff was very informative and knowledgeable.

The museum is a must for anyone with even a slight interest in cars and the history of Audi and their predecessors. No expense has been spared on the museum with visitors taken by lift from reception to the top floor in a 'time capsule' which counts down the years as it goes up. Visitors then work their way down through the years to the present day while seeing all the developments in the company. There is a dedicated motorsport area which was particularly interesting. Also there are restaurants, gardens and the customer new vehicle pick up facility. The whole set up is very modern and is surrounded by both production buildings and the Audi HQ.

Being a car nut, no trip of mine would be complete without visiting the Audi Museum in the small town of Ingolstadt. This factory is probably the most difficult to get to amongst all of the German car factories - it's in a small town which is about 1.5 hours from Munich and still requires a very infrequent bus ride from Ingolstadt Hbf. I did enjoy the visit but thought it was not as nice as the others. The exhibits were not well maintained but that was made up for the friendly customer service who were willing to explain through and translate. Very few factory tours available = just a handful of tours in english which are usually in the morning so it's important to get there early.
I actually enjoyed walking around this small town of Ingolstadt more than my visit to Audi!!

Our prime purpose of the visit was to see the museum but we saw that there was a tour of the factory as well. We did both and the factory tour (two hours) was fascinating and exceptional value for money. The museum was good but less impressive than the Porche museum in Stuttgart.
