“Exactly what you want from a 3* Hotel”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Really friendly staff greeted us at this well located modern hotel. We were travelling with a group for a sports event in the town so most rooms had to accommodate a mix of adults and children which as they are spacious, well laid out and clean they did really well.

Our three night stay was tremendous value, very comfortable and a real pleasure. The rooms had everything we needed and more.

The breakfast deserves special mention as it would put many four star big name hotels to shame! Everything is fresh, beautifully presented and delicious!

The only minor gripes was the intermittent and slow internet which seems to be very location sensitive and the lack of effective air-conditioning in our room. The weather was very hot during our stay and although I prefer to have the window wide open our rooms location above the lovely garden did give us some sleepless moments!

Room Tip: If you want a quiet night best to choose a room that doesn't overlook the garden.

The hotel is about 30 minutes to the airport, reachable easily by shuttle bus. And if you want to go to Munich city, it's quite far. You will also need to ride a bus to the nearest train station first. Nevertheless, apart of this setback, it's a very nice hotel in a small quite & calm town. The staffs were friendly. The room was spacious, elegantly designed, comfortable, and clean. There's no wi-fi, only internet by cable available in the room. You have to ensure you bring the room key card when you go out late, which was also the key the hotel main entrance, as nobody will be at the reception at late evening (if I could recall, staffs go back at 8pm, or was it 10pm.. think it was 8pm). Our only wish is that it's nearer to Munich city.

Lovely boutique hotel in Erdling. My daughter and I stayed here the night before my return flight from Munich to the US. Great location to visit this charming town. Wonderful restaurants and upscale shops. Also, bikes are available to ride picturesque trails Easy from the S2 train and bus system to the airport. Beautiful rooms with modern baths. Rooms face a lovely garden where there is sitting for coffee or a beverage. Breakfast is included and has a wide selection. My daughter spent another night because it is so super and away from the city of Munich, but also within a short commute.

Hotel Linner is a small but very conveniently located place for those who would rather avoid the hustle and bustle of Munich. The airport is within 20 minutes and, although I don't have details on it, there is a shuttle service available.
The rooms are spacious, the staff is super friendly and breakfast is delicious.
Visit the brewery restaurant in Erding, within walking distance of Hotel Linner, you won't be disappointed in their beer and food. Make reservations... It's popular.

Room Tip: We had room 004, on the same level as the lobby and the windows (huge) face a lovely courtyard. It w...

The day we arrived we were greeted by a very nice, friendly sweet lady. Unfortunately, she was taken over by other very unfriendly, curt and rude ladies (front desk). We were there for 2 nights. the breakfast was ok but was not worth the price charged. The supposed internet worked ONLY if you stood no further that 5 feet away from the reception desk. Forget about it working in any of the rooms. I hate that they advertise as having internet but it is useless if you cannot connect in any of the rooms! That is false advertising. They are very thrifty. Their tissues and toilet paper could easily be compared to sand paper. For a couple of pennies more they can get REAL toilet paper and tissues! I stayed on the ground floor overlooking some houses and a tiny garden. I felt very unsafe as everyone that passed by the garden, I was able to see their feet. No doubt they saw everything in the room. Even worse, they go home in the evening and there is no one at the reception until the morning in case of an emergency! The town is swarming with young Turkish men riding around in cars blasting loud music. I was uncomfortable walking in the evening around town because some bars had 20-30 guys just screaming, being loud and looking at us walking by with a funny eye! Oh yeah! Forgot the most important thing! I was ripped of at 145 Euros per night due to the Oktoberfest 45 minutes away in Munich! The next day I stayed in Berlin at the H10 Berlin hotel that was a REAL hotel and I had a suite for 89 euros per night!

We were on the tail end of a driving trip where we stayed in Germany, Austria and Italy. We had stayed at historic hotels, apartment type hotels and B&Bs.
This hotel was a nice change. Modern quiet and very comfortable. Big fluffy pillows for European standards and had a special screen over the windows which would completely black out the room if so desired. Very cool -- Had never seen that before. The bathroom was modern with a huge shower.
We had two rooms which were on the 1st floor just a little ways down the hall. Never heard a peep from the road or other people.
My kids enjoyed the full breakfast - typical German breakfast but they did have scrambled eggs.

The hotel gave us a great map of Erding as well as walking and driving directions to the train station. We took the train into Munich for a quick visit to see the glockenspiel and city center. We ate at the Hofbrauhaus; and I would recommend a pretzel and beer only. The food was not that great. Given that we were still hungry when we made it back to Erding that evening around 9pm. We found a wonderful restaurant that had amazing food open on the main street. It was Dampfnudel und Ochs. It was so good. One of the best meals we had the entire trip if not THE best meal. We had black truffle pasta with steak, the wings, and all of our food and desserts were very very good. They were also very nice even though we showed up just before closing.

The next morning the Hotel Linner made it very easy to drop my husband off at the airport. Location was great, room was great and the staff was quite helpful.

Would definitely recommend! The only improvement would be Wifi in the rooms; not just the lobby.

Very nice little hotel even better than some four star hotels that I've stayed at! Room was large, comfortable and bathroom elegant. All the hotel staff are fantastic and friendly. Breakfast is well presented, vast and complete. Small kitchen available with water boilers. Within walking distance to the centre of Erding and a short drive to the Therme. Easy to reach Munich as well. Housekeeping after our second night was a bit lazy, only did the bed and didn't properly do the bathroom although the other two days was fine. Wireless available only in main lobby and breakfast area - in the room only accessible with LAN. Could use another vending machine to purchase more varied drinks or even packaged snacks. Television only has German speaking channels.
