We stayed in an hotel-apartment and enjoyed the amenities and facilities on the hotel. Brought 3 dogs, which was no problem. However, I think the price for the dogs was a bit stiff - considering we kept the apartment clean ourselves during our stay there. Besides that we really enjoyed the pool/spa area and the breakfast buffet. It's a good location for a summer vacation - as it's almost directly on the beach and there are a number of restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel is well situated and very nice, the room we stayed in had an outside balcony, it was bizarrely laid out but clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was very nice with plenty of choice. I would have given this hotel a very good rating but my 2 issues, were lack of towels- and small hard towels at that, when a room is meant for 2 people, I believe 2 small towels are insufficient, thank goodness there were bath robes. Lack of coffee creamer, again 1 small sachet why ???? Finally the lack of anything in English, I appreciate I am in Germany but English is the international language, the staff tried but things were often lost in translation. For example when we asked what Einen Schone meant on the blackboard in front of the restaurant we were told it meant Good Morning, when we said how can it say Good Morning Good Morning she just laughed. On checking on Google Translation, I discovered it said A Beautiful Good Morning. I appreciate this is not a touristy area but it is never going to be without some things being shown in English - perhaps that is what they want.

We booked a 4 night stay over hotels.com in January. We booked a 2 bedroom family room for 2 adults and 2 children. The other 2 options when booking were apartments. We wanted a hotel (room) vacation, so we booked a hotel room, or we thought we did. When we arrived they gave us the keys to a "ferie" apartment with a kitchenette and when we told them we booked a room and they told us this apartment is what we booked, eventhough that is not what our booking said, they told us to take it up with hotels.com and would not help us further. The apartment was located outside of the hotel, so each time we went to the restaurant or pool, we had to put our winter clothes on as well as bundle up our baby & 6 year old, because it's winter! They could have helped us, by looking at what other options they had so we could find something that was inside the hotel, but they did not and would not take any responsibility for the situation! Our apartment had a few flaws as well, the light above the dining room table didn't work & when we asked about it, they said they would send house keeping to look at it & they never came! The lock you have to turn on the inside of the door, to lock the door, broke off after the second day and the toilet kept running. On our booking we requested a baby bed & it was not there, so we had to tredge back to the hotel to request one. It also said all rooms included robes & slippers. There were no robes or slippers in the room. I went to ask about that & they told me robes cost 9 euros each, but slippers were free. She had a hard time understanding english so even that was challenging. I told her that we thought we had booked a 2 bedroom family room inside the hotel & I asked her if they have a 2 bedroom family room in the hotel, she said yes, but they were booked. Booking options are very confusing. After spending much of our vacation trying to figure it out we came up with this; ferie Apartments are located outside the hotel building, comfort apartments are located inside the hotel building, as well as a hotel room they call a Family room. But none of that Information is on hotels.com. They say there is a pool and a children's pool, that is incorrect, there is only one pool and it was chilly, especially for our baby and too deep for our 6 year old to touch. The pool lockers require a 1€ deposit. We ordered room service and had to go to the front desk to get it ourselves and they never picked up the dishes. Would not recommend this hotel!

Well, maintained lovely hotel with fine wellness, though fitness is outdated. We were thrilled with our lovely room, very clean, and comfortable beds. But communication and information were our biggest problem. All information in and around hotel is in German, even the menu, you don´t know what´s for dinner until it´s on your plate. The first two days we got the menu translated, but dined ud the next few days, as we found a restaurant nearby with the menu in english and at half the price than at the hotel, and double the amount on your plate. The food was great the first day at the hotel but the next day, terrible. Funny was this mega plate with a little pynt on it. As for the language barrier, I blamed the sales people like risskov, happydays, fdm, dtf, etc. who sell these tours to the danes but do not demand that their customers have that "language advantage" to be kept informed. Come on man, we aren´t living in the 17th century, in fact the whole world is living english today and hotels should be international; after all we are in the 21st century wth WWW. Language barrier is like a handicap and customers holiday for fun. Ohhh, it was great to have DR 1

We stayed four nights and where upgraded to an appartment suite in the main building at no expence - it was nice and spacious. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Beautiful setting and very nicely held hotel. The pool was really good with jet stream, nice temperature - our son loved it! There where robes in the room and all the towels we wanted at the reception. The spa and sauna area was really nice with different types of saunas.
Internet is only available in the reception area and library and you have to get a new code every day for each device. Would be nice if it was more flexible and accesible. The library is really nice to spend time in, though.
We got an off season deal including two course dinner evert day. However, it turned out that our six year old son - for whom we paid half price - was not included in the dinner so we had to order and pay for his childrens menu seperately. Seemed quite petty!

Room Tip: Come off season :-)

This is a typical efficiently run German hotel. Excellent value for money. Service was very personal and really friendly. Restaurant food was exceptionally good and very reasonably priced. Rooms spacious and very quiet. Only a 1 minute walk from the beach. Lovely location. Unfortunately we did not have time to use the spa or get a massage. Very reasonable massage prices. We will be back. Thank you for a great experience.

Room Tip: We reommend the tower rooms. A bit more expensive but very nice.

Spacious rooms (decor slightly dated but spotlessly clean and not worn), very good breakfast and basement pool are some of the nice features. Common areas rather stylish. Serivce friendly. Atmosphere might be a bit stiff and swanky - I guess this depends on your tastes. If you like it quiet you should be alright. Clientelle not exactly young.

Walk in rate rather expensive.

Nothing to really complain about but atmosphere kind of lacked a bit of charm.
