After a lovely drive in a picturesque area we nearly missed this wonderful restaurant due to the heavy traffic. From the outside it still looks a bit plain, but is clearly a work in progress. Once we stepped through the door we felt immediately welcome and even though we did not book we were able to get a seat. The staff was very helpful, friendly and drinks were served very quickly. The menu was what I hoped for with a nice range of authentic German meals, all reasonably priced. The meals were served promptly and were a decent size. My partner had the Potato pancakes with a salat and I had the Veal schnitzel, potato rosti and cabbage salat. Both meals tasted fantastic!! The beer on tap is a well known German brand and not overly expensive. Also available is the excellent alcohol free beer, considering the distance that one may have to travel.
The attached gift shop is great, with lots of goodies at reasonable prices and the shop assistant was very helpful.
We would highly recommend this wonderful Restaurant to anyone.
