“Nice tour”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

Well preserved middle age castle. the view from castle balcony is amazing.
Tickets are a bit expensive but... save some 40 minutes to visit the interior and some 15 minutes for pictures from balcony.

“not only the castle ....”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

When you visit Meersburg, you will not miss the beautiful castle right on top of a hill. Other then visiting the castle, you can also enjoy walking through the shops along the Lake of Constance. There many bar, cafe and souvenir shops. It is very interesting and relaxing.

“Really lovely old castle!”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

We visited this with English friends of ours who had come over from Munich.
It's worth taking the guided tour to the top of the tower. Even though the guide gives the commentary in German, as expected, there's lots to see, including a fearsomely deep well, and some creepy staircases. The view from the top is spectacular across Meersburg and Lake Konstanz (Bodensee).
The castle itself is amazing, with a surprise round every corner.
Don't miss this castle, it's certainly one of the best we have been to anywhere in Europe, and some of our UK castle tour organisers should take on board that the cost of entry was worth every euro, unlike many in the UK which are a complete ripoff! Families with children will love it. Lots of spots to jump out and terrify Mum and Dad :-)
We missed the torture chambers which was a pity.......I was going to experiment on my wife !!

“Interesting Visit - Meersberg Castle”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

Went for a drive to Meersberg to have lunch & a look around. Did a self guide tour of the castle which it was well set up for. Just walked through at a leisurely pace, found the castle's history and age very interesting. Very well worn floorboards. Had coffee in the cafe at end of tour. Definitely worth a visit. Found the town also very interesting great location on a nice day to have a beer over looking the lake.

“interesting enough”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Didn't find it particularly informative, but something you do when you are visiting Meersburg. If you happen to have a sunny day you can grab a drink on the terrace with views over the lake. You can purchase a ticket at the entrance for E2 and just have a drink or eat in the coffee shop, the money is deducted from the bill.
