“Good for a rainy day”
Reviewed 6 September 2012

We visited the Alpamare on Sunday during summer school vacation time and it turned a gray, drizzly day into a highlight of the trip.
It's a nice balance of features for both children and adult. Our 8 year-old loved the slides, our 6 year-old was a fan of the wave pool and I enjoyed the sauna and outdoor pools when I could break away. We arrived within an hour of opening and had no problem with parking and no lines. Even the water slides had hardly any wait. We bought the (somewhat steep) 4 hour pass and it was plenty of time.
Cons: A little pricey, confusing payment system with plastic coins
Tips: Go early in the day, get the 4 hour pass and add time if you need to, save this outing for a rainy day.

“Awesome.”
Reviewed 27 August 2012

Small lines and the outdoor hot baths were great. Most of all we liked hot the staff were not in your face with over zealous rules like they are in other water parks. Great time. One of my boys fav things in all of Europe actually.

“Exciting Indoor water park”
Reviewed 12 August 2012

Our family visited Aplemare several years ago (12-15 years) whenthe kids were young. Just returned and found the kids back in us. There is a mineral pool, iodine pool an many hot pools, saunas, rest rooms, heat lamp rooms, a restaurant, and to top it off, water slides to get the adreline pumping. Full day is 34 Euros and it is worth it. Take a stop over and relax a day from the driving. We brought our grown child back with his wife and found the kids in us all.

“Very dissapointing”
Reviewed 9 August 2012

I used to go a lot 15 years ago and I wanted to show it to my children. Unfortunately it turned out to be a complete disaster. firstly NOTHING has changed, i would have thought there would be improvement but its still the same old slides which are already brown in some areas. Extremely narrow staircase to get to the slides and the worst was the "Wellenbad", my daughter was in front and the attendant just switched on the waves without even looking.
secondly the only new fun activity is the surfing which costs extra, i find with such high entrance fee it should be included!

“Fantastic place - loved it”
Reviewed 30 July 2012

We have just got back from visiting some family in Munich and we had a day out at Alpamare with our 9 year old son. We really enjoyed it, it is a bit expensive for a family of 4 to get in but when you think about it - we paid for 4 hours and it was plenty - the facilities are very clean and there is lots to do for everyone. My son and partner especially liked the slides, but there are a couple of ones that were a bit too scary for my 9 year old - just as well my partner tested it out first as there is no way my son would have liked it. The outdoor pools are lovely - very warm and there are plenty of seating areas for everyone and and the jacuzzi is very nice. There is also an indoor pool and it isn't that deep either which is great for kids - they have a wave machine which comes on too which we liked. There are saunas, relaxing heated areas where you can relax under a heat lamp, The sauna is quite big so plenty of room. We took our own food so i can't comment on the food - but the restuarant looked very clean and the food looked nice too.

Outside there is a volleyball play area with sand and there is also a sandpit area for young children.

We had a fantastic day at Alphamare and we would love to go again if ever we go back to Munich.
