We stayed at this hotel with my family for 5 nights and our stay was average for a "5 star" hotel, mostly geared towards German tourists.

This part of Bavarian region is absolutely beautiful, our hotel is located on a main road but its very pretty and rustic style (perfectly cozy for a winter vaca).

However it is absolutely ridiculous that none if its staff speaks English very well. We would talk to them in English and they would respond to us in German. All the restaurants had NO menus in English which is completely ridiculous!!! Alot of times they made mistakes with plates/ allergies because they did not know how to explain what food is served in English.

Restaurant service was also average mostly a la carte. Mizu sushi restaurant had bad sushi rolls.

They made a mistake with our receipts that was fixed immediately charging us 600$ more

The village is pretty but the people are again very unfriendly and rude towards nonGermans. Its convenient because its located an hr away from Munich.

Overall a nice stay pretty hotel. Unfriendly atmosphere/ service for what you pay

A friend and I came here only for one night unfortunately, but it was amazing. Extremely friendly staff at reception, our room was upgraded which was a lovely surprise. Parking at the hotel was free, not €20 a day as it said at the parking lot. We were then shown to our suite but a lovey man, forgotten his name unfortunately. We're given some useful tips about the hotel and where everything was. Our room was spectacular, loads of space, amazing bed, some comfortable. Huge bathroom with a fantastic shower. Gigantic balcony which was great to sit on and have a glass of wine and a cigarette. The mini bar was included in our room so we took full advantage of that. Wifi is free and fast. Spa and wellness area was lovely, not to crowded and great for relaxing. The whirlpool outside was my favorite, great to hop into after walking around in the cold all afternoon. We had dinner at the fondue stuberl, again very friendly waitress and yummy food, bit pricey and was very hot in the restaurant so I would recommend not to wear any warm clothing when going there. Breakfast was delicious, huge selection. Unfortunately we only saw, once we had eaten, that you can order pancakes, poached eggs and Omelettes to be brought to your table. We had to check out at 11:30 but we're able to use the wellness area all day which was great. Can't wait to come back again!

The hotel is well embedded in the area of the Tegernsee lake. Calm place to relax and to enjoy a conference/workshop and to escape the usual work environment including a big garden with a little creek.
Well organised, good food and comfortable well equiped rooms.
Great Bavarian designer hotel.

We have very mixed feelings about this establishment. The positives first: the staff are all very friendly and professional, the food (breakfast and dinner) is very tasty and a delight, the bar is stylish and well designed, the junior suite is spacious. Unfortunately, the few negatives overshadow these positives: the hotel is huge, it feels more like a conference hotel and not like a retreat, it takes ages to walk from one end to the other and the corridors linking the different buildings are pretty cold (both in terms of temperature and coziness), and the Spa is hugely problematic as there are just (!) 16 loungers - in a hotel that has, I would assume, more than 200 rooms - meaning that guests are literally fighting with each other to get one of the few that become empty or they literally even occupy loungers that have been taken already. Also, the Spa is way too small to cater for such a large number of guests and there is nobody to enforce the rules as people are not complying with them at all. Instead of having a chance to rest, it feels like a train station with guests engaging in loud chatter and laughter, walking through it all the time. Even though the Spa is an adult space only, parents come with their children! Again, nobody enforces the rules! Moreover, the pool area is just a bad joke: each and every day we have been here so far, dozens of children below, I would guess, the age of 5 were transforming it into just one big and VERY noisy playground - not only with the blessing of their parents, but apparently also with the silent approval of the hotel management.
As we pay approx. EUR400 per night and expected true Bavarian luxury, we do not consider these negatives appropriate, something which most other rest-seeking guest we spoke to also shared. We will certainly not return anymore and can only recommend this hotel to young (ideally affluent) families who are used to noise and screaming. For guests who travel frequently to true 5*-hotels, this hotel cannot be recommended at all.
