Excellent location.
Very good breakfast
Friendly staff
Bedroom over looked the river, room very clean.
Nice comfy beds and great pillows.
Dont expect a cup of team in your room though!
Bath towels very hard, good for exfoliating!
Being picking though on the above two points!

Room Tip: hotel only has 17 rooms, make sure you confirm your room has a view overlooking the river.

Not used the hotel itself but the attached cafe was very good for lunch and coffee. The cafe was clean and waiters pleasant and they could also speak English which despite my best attempts (not very good) at German was very useful. The toilets were wonderfully clean. The food quickly served and tasty.

We have just come back from 3 nights at this hotel and we all agreed we found a gem.
The staff could not have been more helpful when checking in and managed to sort out some parking for us (I would recommend you contact the hotel before travel if you need to park, we was lucky). WIFI was slow but better than nothing. Rooms are of a good size and the cleaners keep them spick and span. Breakfast is served from 8-10am so a nice time and plenty of choice.
Take care when you travel to Cochem as we discovered it tends to flood most years as the snow melts, and records show sometimes to amazing levels. We travelled early April and the weather was fantastic, low 20's.

I arrived in Cochem after six in the evening and much to my surprise the reception was closed. The owners did leave a note with instructions but I was pretty surprised. We found our room and spent the night. At around 5am I was awakened to the smell of baking bread. That was ok but the next thing I heard was a loud drill. I specifically asked for a quiet room. Unfortunately there was a market right outside our window and it was being set up. Then the baking odors really started. Our room was directly over the bakery in the hotel and it was just too much.
That said, the room was nice but the shower doors didn't close right. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The highlight of the stay was the outstanding breakfast. It is a buffet and it has everything. It was delicious.
My suggestion is to ask for a room on a higher floor away from the kitchen. The owners are accommodating.

Room Tip: High floor away from the kitchen.E

Thank You for giving us a review. We are very sorry that the noises of the market and the smell from the bakery woke you up early in the morning. We will try in the future to inform our guests about when it will be noiser than normal outside. For late arrival guest, we are considering a better way to check in when the reception is closed. So Thank You for making us notice these things!

Best Regards

Overall a very nice stay, the hotel is very central and just across the road from the river. Rooms good sized, clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent with lots of choice and all staff very pleasant. Really good value for money.

I should have written this a long time ago. My partner and I stayed here during the heatwave (that does seem like a long time ago) of August 2012. 4 nights as I remember. Loved the place, pleasant staff, loved the breakfasts...OK the Sekt too, but then it was my birthday break!
As is the case with so many places it is a B&B, to me a hotel has a bar and or restaurant in the evening, but we bought our splendid wine locally and relaxed on the terrace/verandah area.
Thanks to the hotel & staff, we loved it
Almost forgot, we were told when we booked that we would not have a river view, we booked anyway...they never said anything but we ended up with a great view of the Mosel, almost as good a view as a glass of the wine

This is a nice inexpensive hotel facing the Mosel with plenty of parking in front. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was very good. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the castle is not very far, The town itself is not that interesting.

Room Tip: ask for room facing the Mosel
