“A gourmet must !”
Reviewed 15 September 2013

This restaurant is super - fantastic local foods served in an innovative way by a wonderful chef. The tasting starter is glorious allowing you to try the full range of starters (delightfully arriving on multi plates for all to sample / share). Pastas were beautifully light and innovative - (duck with truffles a must try dish ). And the mains were wide ranging & delicious - our party of three had duck, tuna and lamb - all excellent.
Two of us has specific dietary requirements - coeliac and nut allergy - I had mailed the chef in advance and he personally took us through what we could have from the menu & took our order directly himself .
Top marks to this restaurant ! Beautiful location also - stone cut village is like walking back in time -Try it out if you are in this part of Italy !

“Seek and you shall find”
Reviewed 19 July 2013

This wonderful restaurant is not easy to find but when one has found it, the experience is simply amazing. The restaurant is set on a hill top with a panoramic view of many of the valleys that form the countryside in this area of Le Marche. We were a party of 8 eating out before returning to England after a stay in this
fairly unknown region of Italy. As we are all trying to learn Italian we chose from the Italian menu although we were offered the menu in Italian and the waiter was very understanding and patient. We have had many good meals in Italy but this was close to being the best and the local wines had to be tasted to be believed! The fact our group had mixed dietery requirements fazed the Chef not at all and we all enjoyed an excellent meal in superb surroundings. The (slight) downside to the evening was the lack of Italians eating at this establishment that night. There were plenty of English ex-pats, a few Dutch and Belgian tourists and a couple of Germans; Italians - nary a one! I thought this was sad but, I suspect, was a consequence of the general state of most Italian finances at that time. This restaurnat is expensive, of tghat there can be no doubt, but it was worth it for a one time visit. If I am in the area again I might try it again but I would not make a special journey there.

“One of the best ....... don't miss it!”
Reviewed 20 February 2013

We have been going for the last few years and never had a bad meal. Every visit is a treat and we often have family celebrations there. The menu is extensive, a la carte rather than set meal. For the quality, ambience and experience it is good value for money. He has an excellent wine list and will provide good recommendations, make the effort you won't be disappointed. The location is excellent with a wonderful terrace, and great views, for the warmer months.

“Fine dining in Marche”
Reviewed 7 September 2012

Sophisticated dining in medieval part of this hill-top village. Lovely to sit on terrace in warmer months, and equally inviting inside. Giampiero (from Rome) prepares delicious regional specialities, presented beautifully, and with an original twist. Home-made puddings are to die for. Wines will push the price up if you order anyhing other than very good quality local wines - Rosso Piceno, Lacrima di Morro D'Alba or Falerio. Yet to eat a less than perfect meal.
