It was such a pleasure to join this beautiful project and help the domesticated elephant Mali for 3 weeks . It's a project where elephants are treated with respect and its aim is to help them in their daily life. Unlike other projects the focus is on the elephants, which is not a tourist attraction!! No riding on the back of the elephants!
The project manager Myszka as well as the founder and his family made my stay incredible and they became a second family to me. Spending time with them, cleaning Mali and getting food for her made every day special. I would love to come back to this wonderful place. I miss them, Mali and the most delicious food if Sri Lanka by Dilhani❤️

I took a solo trip to Sri Lanka in October through November 2017 and spent two weeks in the Elephant Care Relief Foundation staying with Amare and his lovely family! For me the experience was unique and I wouldn’t change it for the world. If you thinking about doing an amazing program to actually help Sri Lanka’s Elephants this should be your first choice. Trust this stranger, you’re going to love it!
