The hotel has a charming feel, nestled between the two lakes, a short walk from the Montana lifts and close to Crans. The view of the mountains are breathtakingly beautiful, from the jacuzzi. The sauna, Turkish baths and swimming pool offer relaxation after a hard day ski-ing. The spa treatments and particularly the massage were amazing. The food was excellent and the wines were delicious. The room were spacious, clean and well-appointed as you would expect. The staff were helpful and kind; our group included a seven-year-old, two twelve-year-olds and a twenty-four-year old, plus us fifty-somethings. Everyone enjoyed their stay and the staff did all they could to make our stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: We were upgraded and had a balcony overlooking the mountains on the other side of the valley, asking...

I loved this hotel. One of my favorites. Our room was impeccable! The beds were very comfortable and our balcony was my favorite place. It looks straight out over the alps. The room was very spacious and all the staff was very helpful. Definitely plan to be back again!

We were two couples staying for a long ski weekend at the Art de Vivre. We chose different room types, and both couples had a great time at the hotel. Check-in was prompt and easy, even for non-french speakers such as ourselves. Within minutes we were in our rooms and unpacking. Our room which was a full-south facing room with balcony had an interesting layout, the room is split into two-thirds bed area and one third sunroom type space which opens out onto a fullwidth balcony with table and chairs (but too cold for us to use!). The sunroom was great for playing Monopoly etc with our mates who had taken the next smaller room type. The style is mountain-chalet with parquet floors, pine dresser and bed head. Soft furnishings were chalet-esque but what else do you expect in the mountains. The bathroom was quite small with just a shower and basin, but water pressure and heating were great!
Breakfast was included in our rate. The buffet was completely on target, everything you could want for a big day on the mountain from eggs, cereals, meat and cheese plates, toasts, fruit, pastries etc. Anyone looking for a full english or pancakes may be disappointed, but we left well and truly prepped for the day.
All in all, though - a great little place to stay (30 odd rooms). We'd certainly stay again if we were in the area!
When you're ready the hotel staff will run you to which ever lift station you wish to start your day skiing from. The lady who ran us up was super friendly!
In the evening, there is a small bar and lounge area, with lovely open fire around which several comfy chairs are organised for different groups. The staff are attentive and happy to help.
We didn't use the spa area, but the fitness room looked to have all the kit, and the outdoor Jacuzzi and indoor heated pool looked fantastic!
So why only 4/5 and not 5/5, just small things really - the ski room was not great (important on a ski holiday), boots didn't dry, the room had nowhere to lockup your gear and was easily reachable by the outside world. I always wonder if i should mention this, but for me the reception staff were sometimes a little pre-occupied, and not with us.

Room Tip: Full south facing rooms have great views and are slightly bigger.

We booked 2 rooms, 1 double and 1 single. The double room was large and south-facing. Comfortable firm beds, soft fluffy comforter covers and pillows, minimalist décor. Spacious terrace with a table, 2 chairs, and mountain views. Large bathroom with standard amenities. Wifi.

The single room was actually a southern-facing double room with a separate living room alcove, and terrace. This room was cozier in size. The living room alcove had a couple of Ikea-looking chairs – not very appealing. This room was billed at a single occupancy rate.

The restaurant is large and airy. The buffet breakfast has a variety of cheeses, cold cuts, cereals, etc. Smiling is not part of the service. The dinner is varied and artfully served.

Expensive for what it is but within range of Swiss prices and standards.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Art de Vre. The rooms were clean and very comfortable with excellent views from the deck. The bed was particularly comfortable although the down duvet was too warm for the weather (very warm springtime in Crans Montana). There was a couple of small deficiencies in maintenance evident, but overall the hotel is very well maintained by friendly staff. My bathroom had a great view of the alps right from the shower. The dining room was very nice and the food quite good overall. I'd wished there were menus written in English as I ordered one or two things that came as a surprise (my fault for not having better French!). The fitness and wellness areas of the hotel are superb and well maintained. I would gladly return to the Hotel Art de Vivre!

We have stayed several times at the Hotel ART DE VIVRE which is a nice place to stay in the Crans-Montana resort. Standing as a good value for money, this hotel is a relaxing place to stay a few days. The spa is not very big but offers all the
necessary amenities, with a very nice outdoor sauna
benefiting from a window on the Alps, 2 steam baths, 1 outdoor jacuzzi
and a small indoor pool.

Regarding the rooms, you should actually be careful on the room type you select, as all of them do not offer the same comfort.

The breakfast buffet offers a widechoice of quality and local products.
As for the location of the hotel, it offers a nice view
on the mountains and is ideally located between the villages of
Crans and Montana, near the Lake Grenon.

The quality of the service and the warm welcome will definitely improve your
stay in Valais.

We stay 4 nights, beds were not good enough for the rates of the room. Windows in the room and corridors are older than me, rooms are dark, not enough space and very noisy from the room next to yours.
I would never spend such money for this quality, I have no idea how they get their 4 stars????
