We stayed here for one night. The location is excellent, with very convenient parking.
Rooms simple but comfortable. Only thing lacking was an electrical socket for an iron. I had to wear same shirt again next day.
Breakfast really excellent served by courteous staff.
This hotel has no restaurant but there are plenty of alternatives nearby.
The hotel is very good but has much more potential!
All in all we had a lovely stay.

This is a great place to stay. It's just on the edge of the village so a couple of minutes walk from the centre and just that bit quieter than being in the village itself. In fact, it's very quiet. Very friendly and accommodating reception. Nice room, bright and clean. We chose the one with a view to the chateau and it also looks out over the pasture to the mountains beyond. Just lovely. Bathroom fine. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of juices, fruit, yogurts, cheeses and breads. It was the best breakfast we had in Switzerland. All in all, good value for money and the village and surrounds are an absolute delight!

Room Tip: Spend the extra for a room with at view of the chateau. It's worth it.

Stayed here in a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was located on the top floor and although it overlooked the amazing scenery the windows were located at head height or above and you could only see out of them if you sat high up on the window sill. I was disappointed about that as we spent extra money to stay here but I still enjoyed half hanging out the window looking at the view. The location is fantastic a 1 min walk to the centre of the charming village, and although the rooms are small, they are full of character and fit the surrounds.
Breakfast was awesome. The best I have had in Europe!
Wifi signal wasn't very strong in our room and dropped out a lot so it was easier for us to sit downstairs and log on.
Parking is free in the hotel carpark or the town car park a min walk away.
If you are to stay here , I recommend you ensure you book a room with a view (and a balcony with a view would be amazing) and make the most of the beautiful location. Note that the family rooms are very expensive and even though they overlook the mountains the views are hard to see due to the windows.
What I loved most about this hotel was falling asleep to the sounds of the bells on the cows in the fields below.....Swiss bliss!

Room Tip: you must book a room with a view to appreciate this hotel!

Quite village hotel near Castle of Gruyeres. Small accurate family room, sometimes too small for 2 adults and 1 kid. No even a bar and restaurant in the hotel, only breakfast is served in cafeteria which is closed the rest of the day and night after the breakfast ours. Reception is closed from 8 p.m. till morning. No room service. The family rooms are on the third only with small windows with a limited view outside.

This hotel has recently changed it's name ot Hotel de Gruyères.
It is located in a very nice and quiet are not far from the Castle of Gruyères.
It does not have restaurant, but the breakfast is very large and tasty.
Have Wi fi in the rooms, very fast !!

I will recommend it to anyone wanting to visit this medieval town, and it's neighborhood.
At the time of my visit, this last weekend ( 27 jan,2014) there where only couples.

Room Tip: Try to get the rooms looking over to the valley.
