This is our third visit to this hotel and won't be our last.
Klosters is a chocolate box picture post card resort and the Silvapina a well equipped cosy hotel
Easy access by bus or train to Klosters or Davos for skiing or a short walk up the hill to Madrissa.
We opt for half board and the meals are plentiful and appetising. Dagmar and Florian are great hosts and Florian a wealth of information about best skiing opportunities and can also act as a ski guide. It is always a good sign when you meet familiar faces on each successive trip, they have a lot of repeat business. A great find.

Room Tip: South facing room in the annex for quieter rooms and exceptional views. There is an underground tunn...

One of the few places that is so well situated that you can walk to the slopes, take a free bus to the slopes or take a free train ride to the slopes. Rooms are large and reasonably prices. Easy to park the car. Breakfast is filling.

Just spent one night at this hotel. It is very central next to the Madrisa lift. It has good, free parking space. The owners are very nice. The rooms are spacious and have all the necessary things. The price is very reasonable. We also had a 5 dish dinner at the hotel, which wis nice and tasty. I would definitely recommend it and will be going back again.

We spent four nights at this little hotel in August 2011, and would return without hesitation. The location is ideal - outside (but within walking distance of) the main resort of Klosters, yet only two minutes away from Klosters Dorf railway station, which has an hourly train in each direction and easy connections at Klosters and Chur to destinations beyond. Our wood-panelled room on the top floor was cosy, with a spotless bathroom and balcony offering superb views across the pastures to the mountains beyond. We spent many contented hours in the long summer evenings sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the little trains to and from Davos winding their way up the mountainside. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice and very generous quantities. Home-cooked dinner is also available for a very reasonable price and is highly recommended. Frau Gruober can appear to be a little cold at first but that is just the Swiss temperament and both she and her husband were unfailingly helpful throughout our stay. There are many possibilities for all-day hikes from Klosters, including one over the ridge to Gargellen in Austria, from where it is possible to return to Klosters by bus and train. And, at the end of a long, tiring day I can think of few better places to return to than this little hotel.

Room Tip: South-facing rooms have great mountain views.

I stayed at this family-run Hotel Silvapina with my family for one night end of July 2011 for the Swiss alpine marathon.

We were a party of three and accommodated in an apartment-like room on the top floor of the annex. With the full kitchen, guest can easily prepare their own meals. There were two bedrooms with separate bathrooms, a big balcony with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.

Service was good. I was up at 5 am to prepare for the race and breakfast was already served. Breakfast buffet was good.

Free parking.

Internet connection - did not try to access wi-fi but it was available.

SUMMARY: This is a cheap hotel with great service worth every Swiss Franc. I will stay here again when coming back to Klosters.

+ Full kitchen
+ Great service
+ Value for money

- None

NOTE FOR DISABLED GUESTS: The two buildings were not served by elevators which could potentially be a problem for disabled guests.

I stayed at this Hotel which is family owned and part of the 'simple and friendly' concept an amalgamation of family owned hotels throughout switzerland.
As a railfan it was ideal being only two minutes walk from the station and a dining room with a panoramic view of the railway line.
Not all trains stop at the station but there are buses to the main station Klosters Platz.
The room was comfortable with a balcony and TV with multinational channels.
Breakfast is very good with different types of fresh breads every morning.
I laterly asked for half pension and had two splendid four course meals for the price of one main course if I had eaten in Klosters.
The propierters were friendly and accomodating.

Had excellent four night stay at the Silvapina. It is perfectly located for the Madrissa cable car. The main Klosters skiing area of Gotschna is a 4 minute train or 8 minute bus ride away. But there are generally only one or two trains an hour. The station is very close. However, on a future visit to Klosters I would likely stay in the main village rather than in Klosters Dorf - not just for better accessibility to skiing, but also in the evening to go into the main village. That is not to detract from the hotel at all, where the welcome is extremely warm, the rooms large and nicely furnished. Silvapina would be perfect for those with cars who did not have to rely on the train or bus.
