Positive:

- very good breakfast with great variety und perfect egg dishes
- nice Spa-area, good gym
- great location and great view (lake-view room)

Negative:

- old, badly maintained rooms, especially the bath room was very disappointing
- the bed was unacceptable (they put some kind of foam on the mattress which made me slide to the middle of the bed) and I woke up a couple times during the night to re-adjust everything

As my friend said, it is not easy to be a professional in tourisme and stay at the hotels. You see a lot of things.
I was at this hotel twice: first time in 2009 and a few days ago. I do not remember why exactly i didn't like the hotel in 2009, but this time: the hotel REALLY needs renovation works. If i stay at an avarage 2-3* hotel for 70, even 100 chf - it is ok, but not for a Palace of 5 stars.
- tea- or whatever marks on wallpapers
- threadbare doors, doorjambs of roomsa and houskeeping exits
About the service:
- I wrote to the consierge an e-mail on the day of our arrival asking to put a glass of champain and sparkling water upon our arrival - no answer, no drinks in the room. Luckily, i decided to check it during check-in. So, I had to ask my husband to wait me near the lift (it was a surprise for him) while i was managing it.
- I know, it is a really high class, but on the place of the hotel staff i'd do that: when a couple is asking a glass of champain and a glass of water (i precised i don't drink alcohol), i would bring TWO nice glasses, as for me it is clear: people want to celebrate something.
- I have never had such a soft mattress in any hotel: neither 3 nor 5-stars. That is not really a complain, but I was surprised. Espesially because my husbad oftenly has backaches.
- Upgrading a room for one night is also an important caracteristic for such a hotel. They didn't.

However, the terrasse of the SPA is a really great idea. And the tea and lemon water were very nice.
My husband liked the stay, but 3 Couronnes is too far away in quality from Le Mirador Kempinski or La Reserve.

This hotel has a great location on the shore of Lake Geneva (Leman) within walking distance to the center of town where there is a great year round Sunday market. It's also a short walk to the lake ferry stop. The hotel itself is traditional, old, beautiful, nicely decorated with bar and dining room looking out to the lake. Try to get a room with a balcony and lakeview. The sunset view is incredible actually at any time of day--even during a storm. My room was not well lighted in the evening, but when I called housekeeping, someone immediately came with an additional lamp. Nice service

Family Brunch at the terrace of the hotel. Classy architecture with a luxury taste. The fantastic view over the lake and the mountains is creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Sunny and breathy, with a piano play. The food is extra tasty served in a buffet style, big variety of sweets and starters. Both vegetarian and meet eater can find the expected tastes. Everything is very fresh and in a good combination. The service is pleasant and classy.

Stayed for 1 week during Business trip and was overwhelmed at the attention to detail - the spa is relaxing, the rooms spacious and bright, lovely breakfast looking out onto the lake, umbrellas to borrow if it rained, etc. etc.

Definitely recommend if you are staying in Vevey

Loved the service and the room amenities. All went great! Thank you very much. The reception team was very helpful and everyone greets you in the morning. Feels like home and very warm all throughout the stay

Room Tip: Book your room with a balcony by the lake

The hotel location is dramatic. My friend celebrated his birthday here. We had brunches, dinners and pre-dinner cocktails booked and it's all superb. The staff were very attentive. The general manager even came and ask if all were ok. What really is amazing in this hotel is that the amazing view you see from your room and from the restaurants..... The housekeepers also did an amazing job in keeping the rooms always superb. The waitresses and waiters are also outstanding in asking what we want and even recommending things that we may like. The hotel also provided a one week free bus pas which is a great help and plus free wi if all through out

This hotel is highly recommended.
