“Gourmet food by room service”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

A very special dining experience while staying in Hotel des Trois Couronnes. Our room service dinner is delivered course by course to ensure best dining quality. Our starters -- Purple artichokes « à la barigoule » and foie gras, Gambas « à la plancha » and early vegetables « à la Grècque »; main courses -- Wild turbot « au naturel », linguine pasta with squid ink and clams, dessert - Watermelon freshness with candied tomato, basil sorbet, Souffle with peach and almond ice cream. Quality and fresh food ingredients, wonderful cooking and beautiful presentation.

Special compliments to the two ladies delivering our meals in a big tray -- very sweet, polite and efficient.

Final touch of the dinner is to watch World Cup football match in the room with a view to Lake Geneva, the mountains and France on the other side of the water.

“Superb view, rest so-so”
Reviewed 11 May 2014 via mobile

Mothers Day lunch.

First the good: The view is stupendous, with the lake and mountains providing a truly dramatic setting for what should have been a lovely family lunch. "Kids Club" babysitting service included for free--this meant the kids sat in front of a TV watching Little Mermaid, but at least supervised, which gave mum and dad some peace. The starter, fresh asparagus with thinly sliced foie gras, was truly excellent. Beautiful rose for mum at the end of the meal.

The not-so-good: Amuse-bouche was rather staid, the main course, faux-filet de bœuf, beautifully presented, but a bit tough and not memorable. The dessert average. Some waiters very friendly, but overall an inconsistent service.

Prices in Switzerland are high; we've become accustomed to this and rarely flinch any more when we get the bill. But charging CHF 35 for spaghetti and chicken nuggets for a four-year-old is going a bit far.

We may be back for the lovely terrace views, but unlikely to do a meal here again...

“Spectacular Sunday Brunch”
Reviewed 30 March 2014 via mobile

The setting overlooking Lake Geneva with the Alps in the background was special on a warm March day for brunch. Though we chose to sit inside many were outside on the very large deck.
The Sunday brunch is spectacular!
We have gone many times, and it gets better each time. The lovely lake fish, trout, or lamb were three of the main courses served, all excellent! The starters ranged from goose liver to fresh salmon and many more. The choices of each course are many all prepared to perfection!
The desserts range from lots of chocolate to lemon and fresh fruit.
To much wonderful food to mention, you can not go wrong for brunch here.

“Bad days can happen”
Reviewed 2 September 2013

Wonderful location, perfect terrace on the lake and friendly service.
The meal was a big disappointment. The Simmental veal tagliata was mediocre . Strips of meat full of fat and tough. My lunch companion had the fera fish supposedly from Lake Geneva but in this case seemingly frozen from some faraway Estonian lake. Admittedly , Monday is a bad day for fish but a one-star Michelin restaurant should serve fresh fish daily .
The strawberry and fresh mint gaspacho was delicious but served with a bland, tasteless lemon sorbet. Bad day for a restaurant where one has been accustomed to much better.
