“Fantastic”

We had a fantastic stay at the Schweizerhof. The hotel was clean and well equiped with indoor pool, solarium, sauna, sun deck, gym. The staff and owners were fantastic throughout. The food was superb, huge choice of food at breakfast and the 5 course dinner at night exceeded our expections night after night.

We stayed here for 1 week with our 1 year old daughter. And it was a super holiday! The breakfast buffet was a perfect start of the day. The choice was large and these was also champagne available.
And after a tiring day of hiking it was a pleasure to come back to this hotel: relaxing at the lovely pool and in the different saunas.
We stayed in half board and diner (5 courses) was superb. One evening there was a BBQ. The hotel has also a large wine list (a bit pricy)
If we would return to SaasFee we will stay again in this hotel, because we really felt at home!

This was our third visit to the Schweizerhof and the best!!!!!
We are independant travellers who drive over to Switzerland with our Lab "Henry".
On arrival at the hotel we were surprised to find that we had been upgraded to the most amazing suite for the 7 days we were there, because it was our wedding anniversary.
They had gone to so much trouble, Bubbly on ice, Canapes, Candles, roses, music it just made our holiday. The room was fantastic, our own spa bath, massive bedroom, two bathrooms, even Henry had his own little room.
Everything about this hotel is just great, the spa is a wonderful relaxing experience.
We had a lovely table in the conservatory part of the restaurant which affords views to die for of the glacier/mountains
The food is superb, the meals are six course with choices and over the course of the holiday there wasnt one course we didnt like. Breakfast is a feast with a huge buffet of everthing you can imagine on it.
All the staff from reception/restuarant/cleaners are polite and make an effort to make your stay a plesant one. The owners are very hands on, and I think thats what makes this hotel so good as they know what is going on, they always speak and pass th etime of day.
We will return to this hotel at some point as Saas Fee is so beautiful and if you spend your hoilday here you wont be dissapointed.

Having never bothered to write a review it says something about this hotel that I am doing so now. The service from start to finish was extremely good due to the excellent staff.

We stayed 4 nights and the room, food, and helpfulness of the staff were top. I even went to the spa ( after the gym ) and (from my limited knowledge of such places ) it was very well appointed.

We were half board but were initially unprepared for the excellent 5 course supper which was always well thought out and served by good and knowledgeable staff. We quickly learnt that lunch was unnecessary, especially after the spread on offer at breakfast.

The hotel's shuttles that ferried you to and from the slopes were welcome and saved a 10 minute walk through the town's icy roads.

Well worth a stay, especially for a long w-e as the skiing is too limited for a week.

The long weekend should could have been an excellent deal. Swiss resort, spa, skiing, fresh snow... Our room was standard. Nice balcony, no view as promised. Half board meals tasty, but wine service pretentious - "I went to wine school. I know this wine." instead of "Sorry you didn't like my recommendation. What would you prefer?".

The deal killer was when the maid broke a pair of prescription reading glasses left on a bedside stand on the day of checkout. At checkout, they promised to make sure these were taken care of. After a month of constant email remainders the Schweizerhof position was that the maid was not thier employee, her insurance would not pay for it, their insurance would not pay for it and so it was basically our problem. The glasses were expensive to replace - $500. I sent the invoice to Schweizerhof. to make a long story short, they would not pay, would not take responsibility for their employee breaking them and gave a take it or leave it partial (40%) reimbursement. And through out they became increasingly hostile as if we were to blame for the damage.

This is not service and this is not hospitality. This is not even basic care. Avoid them.

The whole Schweizerhof experience, from start to finish is most definitely one of excellence. The hotel reception area, the foyer, lounge area provide the visitor with a view of the comfort in this hotel and you know immediately that you are in for a super holiday. The rooms are well appointed with very good en suite facilities. The food is superb with a large buffet breakfast and five course evening meal all cooked to perfection.
However the Schweizerhof experience starts before reaching the hotel. Booking online is easy and a quick reply is guaranteed by the friendly and most helpful staff. Brilliant.
