Just returned from a week here - booked through Inghams.
We had a lovely room which looked like it had been recently decorated. The best thing was the balcony which looked out over the glaciers.
Food - very nice meals - no choice, but they would fix you a different meal if you let them know before hand that it was something you didn't like. Usual plentiful continental breakfast. We also were given bread to make up lunchtime sandwiches - plus some fruit and chocolate to take out. This was great because Switzerland is very expensive. However you can drink the tap water so no need to but lots of drinks out.
Hotel wine is expensive (as in all Swiss hotels) but you can buy just a glass to have with dinner (works out about £4 a glass) or a beer (£6 for a large one). There are supermarkets nearby so you can also buy all types of drinks in them.
The hotel manager also fixed us up with bus/lift passes which was a great deal for about £8 each per day.
So we had a great time in this small and friendly hotel and would thoroughly recommend it for other people wanting to visit this amazing area.

Really friendly and laid back yet totally professional. Immaculate rooms and a good breakfast. The card that enables you to use the gondolas for free and the free wifi represent a considerable saving for mid to long stays. Maybe the bathroom towels could have been bigger but I'm nit picking. Go there!

Well located hotel with great views. Comfortable and very clean rooms. Good food. Kind, helpful hosts who speak excellent English. Wonderful walking straight from the hotel and a complimentary lift pass made access easy. Excellent week in the mountains. Many thanks

Saas-fee is full of small, family owned hotels like the Bristol. I booked the Bristol based on Trip Advisor reviews and I'm sure happy we did.

When you arrive in Saas-Fee (tip - no cars allowed. You must park on the edge of town or take the bus to the village which lets you out on the edge of town), the folks at the Bristol are happy to pick you up at the station. We opted for the brisk ten-minute walk after a long-ish ride by train and bus.

When we arrived, the owners were waiting for us along with their lovely dog and cat. They took our skiis and snowboard, storing them in facilites in the basement which included boot warmers and strorage space denoted by our room number.

Our room was sparse, clean and had ample storage, which is typical for a Swiss hotel at this level. Our room had a balcony that looked right out on to the mountains! What a treat!

The next morning when we woke up to ski, we were steps away from a number of lifts which made things so convenient.

The breakfast was nothing special, but it sufficed. Would have been nice to see a few more options, but the continenta options were ok.

Along with being accessible to the lifts, the hotel is also centrally located to pubs and restaurants, making dinner and apres ski each night a piece of cake.

On our next visit to Saas-Fee, we'd definitely book the Bristol!

The location of the Hotel Bristol is spot on for location particularly with young children in mind. Literally a 2 minute walk to the slopes and you can ski to the back door!

The Bumann family made you feel very welcome, nothing was ever too much trouble.

The rooms were surprisingly spacious for a hotel with a 3 star rating and there was hot water on tap at all times.

The food was an excellent standard, the best we have had by far in the Alps.

We look forward to coming back for more!!

Me and my two kids (14 and 8 years old) stayed at Hotel Bristol in April 2011. The stay was just perfect. The hotel is located at the best place in Saas-Fee. Near everything, especially the skislopes. Very nice rooms with balcony on the south side made it possible to relax after skiing. The restaurant was also very good and my kids just loved it. All staff (owners and all other) were very nice and helpful all the time. We felt extremely welcomed.

I can only say, next time we will go to Saas-Fee we will stay at Hotel Bristol!!!!

We stayed at the Bristol as part of a ski package holiday. The hotel has a great location as close to the slopes as you could possibly get. The room was always clean, the staff very friendly and the food (we had breakfast and dinner in the hotel every night as part of the package holiday) was excellent and portionsalways ample. If ever we go back to Sass Fee we will definately aim for the Bristol.
