Very friendly woman at check in. Had no bad experience with waiter but only there one night.
Beds ok, was not fussed for fancy sheets, hotel is simple as is. Room was decent size with baby bed a bit more crowded but ok. Had a nice little balcony, would be nice to have a couple chairs out there.
Location is indeed away from the action. Could be good or not depending what you want.
We enjoyed our stay overall.

We (my wife and I) stayed at the Europa for a week's skiing at the end of March. The hotel is nice and clean and the facilities are ok - the rooms are a bit compact but the hot tub in the basement is nice to relax in after skiing.

Most of the staff are friendly (apart from one waiter who must have had a personality bypass), however the food, if you are on half board accomodation, is decidedly 'ordinary'. Also some of the pricing is rather steep (a charge for a jug of tap water on the table being rather irritating) but I guess this reflects the prices in Saas Fee as a whole!

The hotel is located at the wrong end of the village for the ski lifts (the one nearby lift was for tobogganists while we were there) but they do provide a free electric bus service to take you to the ski area. Also Europa residents can use the ski storage rooms at a sister hotel which is next to the ski lifts for the duration of their stay.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay but we wouldn't bother going back.

The hotel is right next to one of the lifts in Saas Fee, in the summer this gives great opportunities for hiking on the door step.
On arriving in Saas Fee in the car we drove into terminal A and called the hotel for a pick up - they were there before we could unpack the car.
The hotel has a spa (which we didn't use), but having this could have been great. The rooms could do we a little updating especially the bed linen and some better pillows but it was large and clean with a nice balcony. Breakfast was adequate, no hot selection but plenty to keep us going. Wifi was 6 Chf a day which would have been better if it was free but... All in all a good hotel in a great location

No cars are allowed in Saas Fee, but the hotel has a small electric car which picked us up from our bus 5 minutes from the hotel, when we arrived we were given a glass of orange juice while checking in, and then told where our rooms were.

We were in the second building, we had a balcony facing the reception building so it caught the sunshine mid-late morning and into the afternoon (we had a heavy night one night and didn't make it to the slopes until 2pm, so we enjoyed the sun on our balcony) The spa was in the basement of our building, which has a jacuzzi, shower, sauna & steam room. There is also a seperate room for people who want to bathe naked - we didn't venture in there!

The hotel was about a 10minute walk from the slopes, however you can use the storeroom of another hotel close to the slopes to store your equipment, its pretty secure, you use your hotel key to access it. This was very handy.

The food in the hotel was quite nice, in the morning there was a selection of cereals, fruit, toast, cheeses, ham, boiled eggs etc. Also different juices, tea, coffee etc. In the evening it was 5 courses, very filling. But beware - if you want a jug of TAP water on the table - you have to pay for it! You are placed at a table on your first night and you sit there for every evening meal. We had a very early flight home, we had to leave around 5am, but drinks & sandwiches were provided to take on the journey.

Most of the staff were pretty friendly, however there was one waiter who could be very rude and just, a bit weird.

As a whole, it wasn't a bad place to stay. We booked through Crystal ski, and the reps were good.

We had a nice stay at Hotel Europa Annex. The room was a good size, had a balcony and mini bar. It's within easy walking distance from the bus terminal but the hotel's pick-up service was a great help especially when arriving at night with ski's, bags etc. The large wellness area with 2 saunas and steam rooms (seperated into nude and non-nude areas) as well as a spa pool was fantastic. It was a great way to end the day. The breakfast was yummy with lots of options. Staff were generally helpful although they seemed to have the attitude of being 'harassed' at times. The ski room at Hotel Saaserhof was also great along with the Hotel shuttle service, however we choose to walk the 15 minutes through the town to ski lifts after the first trip to enjoy the nice weather and sights of Saas Fee.

Hotel was located about 10 minutes by foot from the main bus terminal, behind the Hanning cable car. The building is up a small hill, so call ahead to schedule pick-up if you're carrying suitcases. Professional staff, accommodating. You have access to the complex's spa, ideal after a day's worth of skiing. Typical Swiss ski-resort breakfast. Rooms were small but practical, modern "alpine" design. Pillows were not that great, bring your own if possible. The ski room is located at the Hotel Saaserhof, close to the beginner slopes. The hotel ski bus can take you there for free (except Saturdays). Good price/quality ratio for Saas-Fee - we will return.

We stayed for a week at the ** section of Hotel Europa (the 'Annex') with half board and had little to complain. Staff is very friendly overall, the breakfast buffet offers lots of variety and is fresh, the 5 course dinner was almost always great, with local specialties like fondue. Accomodation is simple at this level but absolutely sufficient.

If there was anything to moan about: the bed / mattress probably a bit old or soft; the hotel (obviously, for that price), at the far end of the village, but there is a hotel shuttle that brings you to the slopes; and room cleanliness was not always top-notch, probably depending on who was cleaning, not by design.

all in all absolutely recommendable for people who are looking for basic accomomodation but want to avoid self-catering solutions.
