Our room was very modern, clean and practical, with a nice balcony looking out onto the mountain peaks and the garden below which belongs to the hotel. The reception were friendly and helpful. We took half pension and were charmed each evening by the most wonderful 5-course meal (you can choose between fish, meat or vegetarian menu) with exquisite soups and salads for starters and irrisistable desserts (which we hardly ever eat, but simply HAD to, here), in a beautiful and cozy dining room, served by attentive waiters in suits and waitresses in local costumes. The breakfast buffet is sumptuous and leaves nothing to be desired (except if you want really strong coffee with hot milk this seems to be extraordinary, but they will gladly do it for you). The garden is a delightful place for a cold drink after a hike, or a light lunch. It is a bit too bad that the hotel is situated on a road leading up to several other hotels, and there were always quite a few people trekking up at all hours of the night and morning, laughing and talking loud and forgetting that they were walking under bedrooms where people were sleeping. But if you have your earplugs handy, no problem.

I really enjoyed staying in Hotel Allalin for four days. The view was wonderful and it was good that the hotel is not so large. Because of this I could feel the warm heart from the staff, and could communicate with them every day.
They were kind enough to teach us how to spend in Saas-Fee.I will sure to visit this hotel again.

This is not a showy, glitzy place - just quietly perfect. The family are always on duty checking that everything is in order. The dining room is run superbly. The chefs catered for my gluten-free diet and there was an interesting variety of breads, plus breakfast flakes, special desserts etc for me. Our room was large and light and the bathroom spacious. It was kept beautifully clean, always fresh towels and bedding and supplies of toiletries.
As others have said, the hotel is in a good situation, close to everything. And the joy of the village being traffic-free! An added very big bonus this year was the free transport on buses and cable cars.

I have been going to Saas-Fee, on and off for the last 30 years and the village really is the most beautiful location. Its a traditional alpine village and as an added bonus, cars are banned so you only have electric golf buggies zipping around.

The hotel is at the far end of the village (From the slopes) so it is a good 10-15 minute walk in ski boots but there is a free electric train to take you to the slopes. But the positive side is that the hotel is in a beautifully quiet location.

The hotel itself is absolutely perfect for a couple looking to get away. The decor is traditional alpine with a modern twist. Over the last few years the rooms have been updated and i really couldn't ask for more. All the rooms have large bathrooms, flat screen TV's, additional seating and some have balcony's with amazing views of the 4,000m peaks surrounding the hotel.
The hotel is always clean and the quality of all the food is 2nd to none.

The service is some of the best i have ever experienced in the world. Tobias & Sandra Zubriggen are some of the best hosts i have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They make a special effort to speak to all guests in the restaurant in an evening (Often utilising about 8 different languages!) To back them up the waiting staff are excellent and really tried to build great rapport with us on our weeks break.

I really can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Room Tip: Go for a room on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the mountain.
