The C rooms are not 4 starts superior, much rather, with indulgence, 3 stars – and that for 500 CHF the night! The amalgam of colors in the room (I’ve counted over 8 different colors) is tiring to the sight! The not matching colors and the overcrowded furniture that covers everything from rustic to modern makes you wonder if the designer was colorblind or… if there was any designer involved in the decoration of the room + bathroom.
I have been told that the cuisine is magnificent in hotel Belvedere. Maybe so but certainly not for vegetarians! The service was informed in advance that we are vegetarians and hence don’t eat meat, however we’ve been asked during the New Year’s dinner at almost every course if we eat “fois gras”, “veal steak” and other such wonderful “vegetarian dishes”. we took it with humor. What we didn’t really find funny any more was the 45 minutes we had to wait to get the dessert.
The breakfast was nice and rich.
The views are nice from the lobby, the bar and some of the dining rooms. The spa area of the hotel – although small – is really nice and enjoyable.
All in all, I would never go again to hotel Belvedere! It is incredibly overpriced for what it offers.More
