The room was very comfortable with an excellent view of the mountains. the staff was very friendly the breakfast was very good. unfortunately I did not eat other meals in the hotel. Nearby there is a regular free bus service to the Médran cablecar station. Two minute walk to the centre. Large parking nearby, first hour free.

Room Tip: Make sure that you get a room facing the mountains

what do i look for in a ski hotel in a far away country … the same things i would look for at any ski resort in North America. i have modeled my ski hotels must haves after the Alpenhof Hotel at the base of the Jackson Hole tram. here is the list in no particular order since you aim to satisfy all which the Nevai did with flying colors:

1. Front Desk Friendly - the people that staff the front desk our your gateway to happiness during your vacation … they live there and know what to do. we were overwhelmed by the Nevai’s welcoming committee that did not miss a beat during our entire visit. the Nevai’s staff is a nice fusion of Europeans from France, Greece, Netherlands, and a small army from Spain. when my skiing buddies jaw hit the floor when he saw the cozy room we booked, the folks at the front desk provided several alternatives that were more than satisfactory.

2. The Right Beds in the Right Room - without a global standard for describing beds, a conversation with the front desk is always good to avoid the shock at arrival! i have not slept as well as i did at the Nevai as their beds were form fit for me and i was so exhausted from skiing 5 of 6 consecutive days in Courchevel that the Farm Club, the temporary disco setup in the restaurant, nor the very, very late night carousing did not bother my sleep when we arrived last Saturday. the Nevai’s rooms could benefit from some hooks but was able to make do with the natural ones in the room!

3. Breakfast Included - having easy access to the most important meal of the day is key … a quick hop, skip and a jump down the stairs brought me to a feast of goodness, views, and conversation every morning. the Nevai provided an above average selection of cured meats, fromages, cereals / yogurt, fresh juices, water and coffee in an easily accessible to multiple people venue. you could also order several things from the grill and what i liked most, the industrial grade juicer that could eat up big carrots, apple, and hunks of ginger … the chef even borrowed me his peeler so that i could add lime to my concoction!

4. Easy Access to Lifts - the Nevai runs two mini vans to either the gondola at Medran or Savoleyres. manned by a couple Spaniards and a crazy Frenchman, these fellas engaged us immediately like we were life long friends. they never hesitated to help out, pointed out interesting things along the way, picked us up when we were in trouble, and never put us in any kind of danger. super heroes they were!

5. Great Chef / Great Bar - the Nevai did not let down for dinner either with a choice steakhouse like menu in the main restaurant and a sushi in the hotel’s lobby. we ate twice in the main restaurant that presented an Asian / Indian fusion. the bar could use some tap beers but was just perfect as is with huge deck access, comfortable sofas and wood burning fireplace.

6. Spa Facilities - i used to require a hot tub and/or swimming pool for my ski vacations, but now am satisfied with either a dry or wet sauna. the Nevai had both in addition to a full body cold water dunk tank (very Korean) and awesome shower. they also had massage and other spa services in the facility which can be a bonus.

7. Fireplace - in addition to the bar fireplace, there was a huge, modern gas burning fireplace that spanned the width of a sunken sofa pit. great place to warm up after walking in the snow or knocking out some ski videos!

8. Deep Soaking Tub - in order to ski every day i need to soak the old bones in the epsom salts … the Nevai’s tubs fit the bell and kept me skiing 5 days straight.

9. Deck With a View - loved waking up and breathing in the morning air with the view out my deck … the view is etched in my mind. the Nevai had a sweet door that accessed the deck as a normal door, or if while closed you turned the handle to the 12 o’clock position it would open from the top letting air in but not an artful dodger! used the deck to dry out my ski bag after driving through the rain of Chamonix and Martingy.

10. Fast WiFi - when you are uploading HD video to youTube, you need a big pipe … could only upload 480p in France and when pleased when the Nevai could upload my HD videos and download a few American movies when I could not sleep.

I cannot wait to return to the Nevai as it was the perfect portal for our ski trip to Verbier.

Room Tip: the backside of the hotel is best if you are a light sleeper and some rooms only have showers if you...

The hotel itself was very clean, the rooms where tidy enough. Breakfast was a little on the sparse side. More variation would of been better.
The front of house staff where very helpful and very pleasant!!!
But you will need a fistful of francs to go drinking in the Farm down below!!!
Be careful of there chauffeurs! One nearly crashed whilist driving us to the lift!! Idiot !!!

I stayed here in December ,
To date didn't know what to put on my review but since the latest review on this hotel I know feel it is right to bring my
Comments online as well

The food was of serious sub standard and one of my kids was sick for three days after eating out of date stale food

This hotel had a horrible smell of cheesy feet from the boot room that the door stayed open right around from reception

The rooms where of a very basic standard and I have stayed in better 2* hotels around the world

My friends that where due to go at the end of March have now cancelled there stay at this hotel thankfully and are going to les
Cordes des alps hotel .

There is also a 40 year old
Disco below the hotel , the bags
Under my eyes will tell you have never slept .

There words nevai says one
Thing to me :

NEVAI COME BACK HERE

Great hotel for a ski holiday. Located on the main street close to everything. The staff is friendly and ready to help. Shuttle service takes you to the main lift station in the morning and picks you up just by calling the hotel. A big plus for the scandinavian style decoration :) no traditional tyrolean wooden furniture.

A great little hotel with two top restaurants, one being sushi. Rooms are clean, Scandinavian contemporary design. Expensive but you're worth it!
The best night club in Verbier, Farm Club, is located adjacent to the hotel, however, there is no noise coming from the club so don't worry, just go partying!

Room Tip: Book a relaxing massage in the Spa after a long day of skiing. Recommend to book a room with mountai...

The hotel is very cozy and modern.
Thought the rooms will be a bit bigger, but it was ok.
Great staff always smiling and very helpful.
Farm club is the best for clubbing in verbier.
Spa is relatively good...
All in all it was a great experience, and next time we go to verbier we will definitely be staying at the nevai.
